Bing Bong Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 It is so so so boring. 33 minutes ago, Needle said: I would say the second half of Floyd Mayweather's career was more overhyped, overrated, and unsatisfying. Very hot take. But I like it.

MJS Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I heard somewhere that the NFL draft is viewed more than the MLB, NBA, and NHL championship games COMBINED. Not sure if it is true, though.
Mark Vader Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I love the draft. To me, it's the first day of the season. 1
NickelCity Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Have always loved it, despite its absurdities. Nothing beat the days of watching over a full weekend. 1

I love the schedule release special on ESPN. Hey, here's the top 10 games we already knew were going to be scheduled (14 of them 16 years in advance), but we're going to act like it's breaking news. 1

The Jokeman Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 To a degree it is as most draft picks don't make immediate impacta. Thatsaid I love the hype and anticipation. It's my adult Christmas. I put it in the same category as the Academy Awards for movie lovers or Grammy's for music lovers etc.
Wayne Arnold Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Yes and it's not even close. I hate the incessant draft talk and mock drafts for four months leading up to it. It's so stupid.
zonabb Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Yes. And this year in the wet dream symbol of NFL greed and hype.... a massive taxpayer supported stadium. Gross.

Get it done Saturday and Sunday. Hell, put them on the clocks they use in chess matches. 10 minutes to decide, or you go to the end of that round. That'll get some of these GMs and staff hustling. ?

US Egg Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 If one asks if something is over hyped or overrated pretty much nullifies the point.
dbflaBill Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 the first round is extremely over rated but the NFL has done a good job selling it.
Epstein's Mother Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 8 hours ago, Dadonkadonk said: No. That title goes to the Ryder Cup. When I watched golf, we had to listen to two years of drivel about who was going to be the captain's piack. And then listen to non-sense about how the pairings make any difference. Dumbest competition in sports with the worst fake drama. Spoken like a true non-golfer.
Mr. WEO Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 (edited) The draft is the most blatant example of the NFL's complete domination over all other pro leagues. watch it bury the NBA playoffs Thursday as well, as it usually does. Edited April 24, 2018 by Mr. WEO 1
BuffaloHokie13 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 No. The draft is where you see teams select the future core of their rosters and where you see college players continue their career. The underwear olympics is definitely more over-hyped and overrated and the schedule release is a complete joke.
MrEpsYtown Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I love it. If you love football, this is three days of lots of Xs and Os analysis, which is what I love. Yes there is a ton of boring promotional crap and listening to Trey Wingo's smug bullcrap. I could honestly listen to Mike Mayock talk about football all day. I loved him on Thursday night football. People thought there was too much analysis but I loved it.
