Rudolph......Noooooooooooooooooooooo.  If he’s the pick at 22: I’m sad.  If he’s the pick at 12, I combust instantaneously

Wet dream Allen is there at 12. If so it will be an absolute homerun.  If Allen is gone, then you take best defender on the board at 12, maybe trade down a few spots if you can instead, and then take Rudolph at 22.

Rather grab one of those later round QBs than draft Rudolph.

If we stay with our picks I would go: DE Marcus Davenport, LB Leighton Vander Esch

If Allen gets past 4 I'm calling everyone between 4 and 12.  I wouldn't risk letting him fall to 12.

As for staying at 12 and he falls there I'm all over him.  If he is gone I have no problem taking Rudolph there. I have Rudolph as my 3rd QB tied with Darnold. Mayfield at 1 and Allen as my 2nd.  I realise I'm not a pro but I feel Rudolph, Darnold, and Rosen are close.  I have never seen a draft with so many QBs I would spend a first on.  People say Rudolph is a system QB.  So are Brady and Alex Smith.  You just run the system they play well in. At this point I feel Darnold and Rosen have big risks.  Darnold doesn't take care of the ball and Rosen has serious injury concerns as well as other reasons I don't like him as a person.

Sorry I am very long winded tonight lol, trying to address the critics pre-emptively.

I like Rudolph but I can't argue with those two picks.  But with Allen still there you would take a shot at the ceiling and draft a later round QB.  After all we are keeping all of our picks.  There is a part of me that would like us to stay put and also trade back into the first to make a 3rd selection on day 1.

I have no issue with that and then see what AJ and a new OC can do.  Still think they swing for the fences but AJ and 6 high draft picks is a reasonable way to go.

No thanks.  If they got Allen at 12 I would be perfectly happy trading out of the first round and give up 22 for another second this year and next year.  A player at 22 or in the top 10 of the second round are just as likely to succeed but at a significant discount.

Can someone sell me on Allen?

what else does he have asides from a cannon and stature?

The only qb I can think of to compare him to is Flacco, but Flacco isn’t as mobile.

I guess my question is, will he better or worse than Flacco?

Yes.  It’s the reason I don’t want Mason Rudolph to be the Bills next best chance at a franchise starting qb

I want the Baker.  Might like Rudolph over Allen, but I haven't seen enough tape. I actually (for the first time in a long time) trust the Bills FO to make the right decision and get their guy.  Jackson doesn't seem to fit the mold as much, but he's got some upside. I've never gotten the fuss over Darnold. I lived in LA and my friends are USC fanatics and they don't gush over him. Not many USC or UCLA QB's have lit up the NFL in the last few decades.

The dark horses,  Lauletta, White, Ferguson.
