ColdFront_USAF Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 It always blows my mind how much projections change between the end of the college season and the draft. No more games will be played, yet prospects fly all over the consensus draft boards anyways. After months of seeing Darnold and Rosen mocked to picks 1 and 2, it would seem many now expect them to fall. In this hypothetical, we're able to get to 5 or 6 with both of these guys on the board. My choice is Rosen. Darnold may well end up being the better of the two, but right now he isn't. His improvisation skills are amazing, but his hitch in his throwing motion, propensity for turnovers and his happy feet in the pocket have me worried. I like his potential, but I'm not sold. Rosen on the other hand is as pro ready as they come. Textbook mechanics, great in the quick pass game which will benefit guys like Benjamin quite a bit, and the rare ability to manipulate the defense with his eyes and pump fakes while scanning the field very quickly. I see a lot of Manning in him, the way he's looked at as the more 'cerebral' prospect. Who do you pick? 1

It would still not surprise me to see both gone in the TOP 3. Edited April 21, 2018 by horned dogs 1

Just the narrative being sent out by the media, which as we all know has little to no bearing on reality.
jr1 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Darnold's been injured less and has a better winning percentage
wppete Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I am very happy with either but my first choice is Sam Darnold. 1
Mark92 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I think Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield will all have good NFL careers. Hall of famer like Kelly, Elway and Marino a doubt but still solid NFL starters. Take your pick
NewEraBills Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I think Darnold is their guy but Rosen is the one they are more likely to land and of course, then he'll be the guy they wanted all along.
Jay_Fixit Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Darnold. But I’d take Rosen if Darnold wasn’t part of the thread. 1
BillsFan17 Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I am a Rosen guy but Darnold is right there with him. 2
YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Would love either one. All things considered, I would probably be most filled with hope and optimism if they got Darnold. 2

If we get Rosen, I'm 100% certain we have our franchise guy, provided he can stay healthy. With Darnold, I feel it's a 50/50 toss up if he can improve and become good enough to be a true franchise QB. Edited April 21, 2018 by peterpan 1
DanInUticaTampa Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I think darnold will be a franchise guy, but not elite. I'm thinking he will have an Alex Smith/ Andy Dalton type of career. I think Rosen could be a top 5 qb type, if he can stay healthy.
K D Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Chosen Rosen. Darnold exists only because Rosen chose UCLA over USC. 1
Dadonkadonk Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Rosen is second choice after Allen Best case scenario for Buffalo, the first three picks are Darnold, Barkely, Mayfield
KOKBILLS Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Darnold... My issues with Rosen are mostly due to my concerns about his ability to stay healthy long term...
BuckeyeBill Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Either. Praying for either one and beginning to come around to the idea of doing anything to get them.
