He was given a 2 million dollar bonus for winning the Superbowl and an option for 19.  Before he was a FA in 19.  its possible a team will still trade for him.  imo he is not look on as a franchise Qb but a bridge Qb.

He was plan C, but a Super Bowl dominating Plan C. Mediocre history, but had that offense tailored to him and killed it. Smart move to appease him by the Iggles

Why would dumb ass Eagles sign Foles to a contract that now makes him LESS tradable.

Did they consult with former Browns FO.

Maybe they see him as an asset and don't care to trade him this year.

It’s a mutual option.  He has to agree to it or he’s a FA.

just rewarding him for the SB win. i think those extra dollars dont make him untradeable - it is a signing bonus so the team receiving Foles doesnt have to pay that. he is still going to be traded.

He won't end up on the Bills, but he is so much better than so many people here think.

He is, but then he isn't. He is, but then he isnt.  He is........

Not sure I understand your point. It's pretty clear that with the Rams, he ended up being asked to run an antiquated Coryell system, which was the opposite of what he is good at (modified RPO system which is entirely legit at this point). Outside of the Rams, he has been pretty darn good overall, and we now have enough playoff games (4) to conclude that he is basically elite in the postseason -- 113.2 rating. I'm eliminating his rookie season from consideration - Philly was a mess in 2012 and Reid was on his way out.
