Just Joshin' Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Translation: we will move back as our team is poor and we need more players.
BuffaloRebound Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Things are certainly lining up nicely if Bills want to trade up to 5 or 6.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) I feel like Rapoport could just write ‘Every GM is open to everything’ and then take the week off Edited April 20, 2018 by Over 29 years of fanhood
NewEraBills Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 This is good. It could drive the cost down actually since multiple teams want to move.
TheElectricCompany Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) Phone is only going to ring if a QB or Chubb is available. Nobody is burning draft picks to get Nelson or Fitzpatrick. It's been said that this draft is top heavy. Didn't one GM say that a pick in the 20s might as well be in the 50s? Edited April 20, 2018 by TheElectricCompany
26CornerBlitz Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Colts GM: We're Open to Moving Back from No. 6 The Indianapolis Colts already traded down once before the NFL Draft. General Manager Chris Ballard would be open to doing it again before the team makes their first selection next Thursday. Joining NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Friday, Ballard was asked whether he's prepared to trade down from the No. 6 spot if the opportunity arises to stockpile additional picks. "We feel good about the player that will be there," Ballard said. "When we made the trade [with the Jetsfrom No. 3 to No. 6], we thought a lot about the depth of the draft, where it ended if there were two quarterbacks that go in the top six picks, are we going to feel comfortable with the fourth-best position player? And we do. We feel very comfortable with that. "Saying that, we will be open to moving back if we think it is the right thing for us to do and there's enough players on the board, depending on how far we have to move back, that we feel comfortable taking."
BrotherChazz Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Hopefully the price drops a bit with Denver and the Colts wanting to move back. Indy seems to be more uppity about what they expect in return. Stick with 5, don't let anyone else jump ahead. 1
SouthNYfan Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I mean who knows maybe the colts decided that since they raped the Jets to move back from #3 to #6 they will try to get $$$ for #6 now The problem is that #6 is no longer worth as much to QB needy teams since there will be 2 QBs gone between browns and Jets, leaving you with less choices And it's not worth a crap to the Giants because browns and broncos will likely take 2 of Chubb/Barkley/Nelson leaving Giants without their "choice" which one they want. Denver's pick is worth a good bit more to the Giants, so a 3 team with NYG bills broncos would be much better than nyg colts bills imo 1
BuffaloRebound Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 12, 22, and 56 for 6 and 36. Get it done. Or 12, 22, and 56 for 5 and 40.

Maybe Cleveland at 1 and NYJ at 3 have closed the door. This is the ol' "look, the sky is blue!". Just depends on how the players fall.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Trading down to 12 should work for them with four top QBs available.

Sounds like some deliberate thought was put into that quote. 8 players, likelihood of only 2 taken before 6, dropping to 12 gets you in range. Miami another possible candidate to trade up from 11
Mat68 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) Sounds like the Colts never got a call from Buffalo for 3. They are trying to throw their name in a rumored 3 team trade hat, along with the Broncos. Imo the if Buffalo is trading up the perimeters are in place and have been since the combine. By waiting til the night of Buffalo gets to hold the illusion they made that trade for the 1 franchise guy they had on their board regardless of how true that is. The Giants get to claim they held out for the absolute highest offer. The Giants won 2 games for alot of reason. They have alot of issues. More picks the better. Is this the smartest move? Idk but the draft is shaping up to be very exciting. Edited April 20, 2018 by Mat68
BuffaloRush Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Last month he said he wouldn’t trade out of that “premium” picks
