If Alexander is starting at one of the LB spots (along with Milano), it could still be 10 of the 11 starting spots are solid. Even though Alexander’s coverage skills are shaky, at best.

MLB (the missing starter on D) is just as important as QB as to finding a starter in this draft.

Of course health is a BIG issue, as it always is. Almost all the projected starters have had health issues.

If most of the projected starters stay on the field, they will be even better in year two of this regime and knock the total yardage against down per game.

Thoughts?

On paper, the Bills have 9 solid staters.

Red staters?

Blue staters?

Deep staters?

 Oops, my bad.

DEFENSIVE starters.

We still have to be worried about the Defense.

The best unit last year was the DBs. They might be the ONLY good unit. But, life is going to be hard on them if we don't solidify the front seven, particularly the LBs.

Question?

If someone is starting over Alexander doesn't that mean they are likely viewed as a better starter?

The Bills definitely have to find a Linebacker early in this draft process.

Another DT would be helpful, but not as vital as a fast coverage LB

MLB is our biggest hole but things are far worse on offense.

You could argue the McCoy, Benjamin, Clay, Dawkins are the only solid staters, um’ er’ starters on offense. The rest are unproven or borderline.

MY thoughts are what you see now is not anywhere near what you'll see opening day.  You have a draft and you have guys that get released this summer for cap reasons etc. still to come.

If just defense, (1) Lotulelei, (2) Hughes, (3) Milano, (4) White, (5) Davis, (6) Hyde, and (7) Poyer.

They are solid starters.

Williams, Lawson, Murphy, and Alexander are not too shabby, but I'm not sure you can call them solid starters at this point.

That's cause you've been around since Cap'n Crunch was just a skipper.

Right now, the roster is more expansion team than playoff team, IMO.    The draft will plug some holes, but this is a rebuilding team with major weaknesses at QB, OL, WR and LB...

I dont know a polite way to say this, so excuse me but.... wrong. Just flat wrong.

Nothing is as important as QB in this league.
