Do you mean a character we'd like to be?  If that's the case I'd go with George Peppard's Hannibal Smith from the A-Team.

 

My favorite character of all time though is Billy Bob Thornton's Lorne Malvo on Season #1 of Fargo.  Runner up is Michael Emerson's Benjamin Linus from LOST.

Actually, Bobcat Goldthwait's contention that that was one of Michael Jackson's pastimes got Goldthwait in trouble with the legal department of 'the Hollywood Squares'.
