Expand If the Bills move up to the Giants spot there is a good chance that they will select Allen. Odds are that Cleveland will take Darnold with the first pick but it wouldn't be stunning news if they took Allen. Cleveland would be a good situation for Allen because they want to start Taylor and let their rookie qb mature before allowing him to take the snaps. Whichever team selects him it is obvious that he is highly regarded as a prospect. I would take Darnold and Rosen over him but with his tools he is an enticing player to consider.

Next week can't come soon enough. The anticipation is killing me. So...what do you all think? is this smoke or is this definitely going to be a done deal for Baker to the Jets. I've been a Baker fan since day 1 and was hoping that he would don a Bills jersey next week. Expand I think it's the reason they leaped Denver, so they could get Mayfield. Just my 2. I think Mayfield has been their guy since early on in all of this.

They could just as well be interested in Rosen as with Allen. My preference is Rosen. He reminds me of Goff with the picturesque mechanics but is much more advanced in reading defenses. He more so than any qb in this draft can play right away. That is not to say that there won't be an adjustment for him but he is better equipped to quickly making the leap than the other prospects.
DCOrange Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I think Mayfield, Darnold, and Allen are the Jets top 3 in some order. I’d guess Baker is #3 on that list but we shall see.
gjv001 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Any team that wants Mayfield will need to get to #1 or #2 in the Draft. Otherwise, he's a member of "GANG GREEN".
dave mcbride Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I think what you see is what you get in this case. I fully expect Mayfield to be a Jet.

26TrapDraw Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I think the amount of insider information that all the posters in this thread have obtained is phenomenal.
xRUSHx Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 (edited) No matter what the Jets will get one of the top 3, it is where the Bills should have been for this draft but the Jets were quicker to the trade. Just like always OBD is late to the party. I think Allen is smoke every team is smoking. If some team isnt crazy enough to take him in the top 6 I think he will fall hard in the 1st round with Jackson. Allen is a big white dude with a very good agent so his stock is higher in hype for a lazy scouting team IMO. IMO Allen and Jackson are project QBs that need a bunch of work and should not be taken top 15. IMO Jets are happy with any of the top 3 and more the likely Mayfield is the one at 3 left standing. IMO Cleveland is who the team that could wow everybody and take him. Edited April 19, 2018 by xRUSHx
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Do we have enough Mayfield threads on here today? Must be a big leak day for his agents- 1 week before the draft! Who's next on the client push? Rosen is a bout due for one.

starrymessenger Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Interesting feedback from Jets message board given all the Baker to the Jets hype. Although Mayfield has his vociferous supporters as far as the posts are concerned, in a poll I think it was 73% of fans preferred Rosen. That might align with responses on this and other team boards. It's only the fans opinion tho.
