This year feels different so my brother, mother,  and nephew are coming over and we are doing a mini draft party. We talked about it this weekend and if the fireworks do go down we want to be together for it.

It's an 8 o'clock start so taking the 27th off is a must. Now for some food ideas!

Great question.

It is a long event. Are you planning to eat ahead of time, snack throughout or both?

My family/friends usually do an earlier message followed with lots of football related apps.

Although, this year a number of people in the area spoke of meeting up, possibly at Santoras on Transit.

Great thread!! We too are getting together (with our Bills group in New Orleans). The draft will be going on at the same time as Pelicans/Blazers game 6 so we will have 2 TVs working and crawfish boiling. Friday we will be going to the Zurich Classic during the day and a bar after for rounds 2 & 3.

In in terms of food, I think that you want to go on the easy side with the draft being later. You aren’t going to want to be stuck with a messy kitchen at 10:30 at night. I’d probably go with a couple of dips and maybe pulled pork or something? It’s minimal work and will allow you to focus on the draft.

I misjudged you. I always took you to be a sober person. Now not so much.

We started doing a party in 2015 at my brother in laws with just my wife and I. It was funny because the girls were like when do we draft in the 1st round about half way through and we both looked at the same time and said "we don't we traded it last year for Sammy". Their faces were priceless.

Anyway same place but more excitement and if we get Rosen/Darnold I am probably not remembering the rest of the night due to adult beverages. Oh pizza and wings is a must with bison dip and chips.

Yeah I hadn't even checked the NHL/NBA schedules, it very well may end up being a two tv type of night.

All my favorite dishes are heavy and don't mesh well with a night time event. Sliders and dips sounds like a good gamplan.

Celtics game 6 is that night, if needed.
