I don’t know how the CBA reads. I don’t know when these guys are technically a part of the league. I am assuming that it isn’t until after they are selected. That’s why I’m not sure that will work.

Kirby, let me tell you something;  I am taking you in MY draft of TSW Board Members and i am willing to give up @26CornerBlitz and @Hapless Bills Fan for you and a poster to be named later...maybe @thunderingsquid.

It's a bad overpay for #6 followed by a bad overpay for 4.  12 and 22 is worth more than 4, depending on the value chart one is using, the bills have A LOT of other picks available to use, they aren't going to give up 3 1st for pick #4.

How about 12, 22 and 65 for 4? I’d sign up for that yesterday.

I actually think in a recent interview Beane even said that he'd never do a deal with someone who insisted on knowing prior to the deal. Maybe I'll dig for it later.

He said it, but holes got poked in it for 5 min straight this am on wgr

NFL Draft Value Chart:

1. 3,000 PTS.

12. 1200 PTS.

22. 780 PTS.

53. 370 PTS.

56. 340 PTS.

65. 265 PTS.

Total: 2,955 PTS.

12. 1200 PTS.

22. 780 PTS.

2019 #1 (16) 1,000 PTS.

Total: 2,980

Anyone trading into #1 always overpays ... I could see it costing Buffalo what the Rumor has said 12, 22, 53, 56 and 2019 1st

Might want to look into previous trades with the JJ numbers before using them. They aren't very good any more. Besides, I ran the numbers up thread and came to basically your offer, but giving 65 back to you instead of 56. Future picks are always devalued 1 round. Here's two trades into the top 2 for QBs from 2016:

Browns give 2 & Future 4 (2634)

Eagles give 8, 77, 100, Future 1, Future 2 (2315)

Titans give 1, 113, & 177 (3088.6)

Rams give 15, 43, 45, 76, Future 1, Future 3 (2670)

That's why I use the base 100 chart now. It was derived from all the draft trades since 2011 and nearly all of them work out in a way that makes sense. Plus you get a feel for the normal premiums paid for specific ranges (top 3 vs top 5 vs top 10).

Browns 2 & future 4 = 96.19

Eagles 8, 77, 100, future 1 & 2 = 118.46

Titans 1, 113, 177 = 105.84

Rams 15, 43, 45, 76, future 1 & 3 = 138.49

You can point to the Jets move with JJ numbers, but with the new chart they paid 152% of the cost of the #3 pick. The offer I put together above is 151% of the #1 pick, which is in line with the Jets move imo.

Next Thursday can't come soon enough can it?

It certainly can’t. In fact, I wonder if it is a 4 team trade?

Browns get: 2, 6, 22, 65

Bills get: 1

Giants get: 4, 53, 2019 2nd

Colts get: 12, 35

Who says no?

That's about what I'd give up, 12 / 22/ one pick between 53-65 / maybe a conventional 3-4 in 2019

I just don't see anyone beating that offer.  If the Browns want #6 instead of 12, they can dip into their own coffers to do it, they have more than enough.  You want 3 1sts, thats #1 pick territory.

What are the point values from the St.Louis Washington trade from 2012?

The colts got 3 2nds to drop 2 spots but now will settle for 1 to drop 6 spots?

Giants say no.  A mid second round pick and  a 2019 2nd (treated as a 3rd) to move from #2 to #4.   Jets/Colts trade indicates they need at least 53 and 56, maybe more.

I don’t know. Getting two 2nd round picks to drop back 2 spots and get the guy you are targetting?
