The reality is there is some sort of cap hit for this. You think one of his buddies would do something in a pay cut to allow for this. You know Chris football is family?

The thing is there's an NFL minimum that he must be paid even for a day

Does much work go into something like this??

I have to figure it's more work than we imagined because something like this seems pretty cut and dry. But as I said there is a cap hit and the guy is 3 years removed. I would find a way to have an agreement that he owes something to the bills after this.

Dude, fred Jackson was one of the lone bright spots in our 17 year drought. Plus his story is pretty impressive coming from a D3 school. He doesn't owe the bills anything. He deserves to retire a Buffalo bill

Awesome!

I doubt he ever makes the W.O.F...but it would be great to see him lead the charge someday, with his hulk pose!

He needs to be on the Wall of Fame.  He and Kyle

He already got paid for his services to a contract he agreed to. That's how life works

He led the charge last December

I remember, but don't recall the hulk pose. Maybe I missed it on my feed...

I agree. Not sure the numbers match, but if you talk about heart & soul, he's Waaay up there. At least for this millenium

Mmhmm.  It’s a Wall of Fame.  Not wall of stats.  He belongs

Oh, I agree. Just not sure Pegs does. Also, he didn't have the years accrued like most of the rest, but IMO he & Kyle both belong

Maybe, but I think Pegs tries to give the fans what they want.  I think most would be proud to have Fred on the Wall.  Not sure why anyone would oppose

Kyle to me is a no-brainer. Freddy just didn't have the years like Kyle. But, they both belong. I remember watching Freddy in NFL Europe. Awesome! I remember saying OMG get this man to Buffalo! Every player had a different NFL logo on his jersey. IMO, Levy waited 2 years too long before allocating him to his deserved NFL career

Easily my favourite Bill of the past 15 years.  One of the most complete RB's to play the game - such a patient runner who could see the holes developing before they opened and perhaps the best pass blocking RB I have seen.

i second that. and i will add that this man left it all on the field every game. some plays you could just see the pure will of fred jackson shining through like a beam.

If he is put on The Wall, I would like to see Freddie power slam Aaron Maybin through a burning table at half time.

Kyle is a shoo-in for the WOF...

and Freddie should be too.

A fan favorite. A bright spot in a dismal decade. Eight years as a Bill (more than enough accrued time), inspirational story, fought and clawed for everything he got, 3rd place on Bills all-time rushing leaders list behind only Thurman and O.J.---and most of that done as the number two back, as the team kept trying to move on from him, and with some pretty talented backs in Lynch and Spiller...and yet somehow in the end, Freddie was always the man still standing and even outperforming them. Had a 4.4 yard career average. Went to little Coe college (Marv's alma mater), loved the fans and playing in Buffalo (seeing Freddie run the field with a Bills flag after a great victory, c'mon), he was a very good player who should have been in Buffalo at least one or two more years (damn Whaley!), he was great in the community, great teammate, team leader, etc.. I mean we aren't talking about the Hall of Fame, it's not about comparing him to every RB who ever played the game and saying he wasn't elite. The Wall of Fame is about what you did in and for Buffalo and the Bills, and in my opinion, Freddie definitely has all the credentials for the WOF!

Glad he's doing the deal to retire a Bill!

If this power slam--burning table thing is your go to saying for laughs, it's time to find something new.  ;)
