Fadingpain Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I see your cruise ship fender bender and raise you this:
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Technically not a collision, but an: allision Definition of ALLISION. 1 obs : the action of dashing against or striking upon. 2 : the running of one ship upon another ship that is stationary —distinguished from collision. Back in around 2004 or so, we had a spectacular one... At the first fixed bridge just north of the lock. Seems the pilot was arguing w/his wife on the cellphone and forgot to lower the pilot-house in a timely fashion... I think I got the pics on disk somewhere... Should upload them. Another time we had the rake of a barge (the curved sloping bow of a barge) take out the window sill to the upper end control house. IT happen from time to time... 3 hours ago, /dev/null said: Was this EII's handy work? I don't pick the colors...
