We just decided not to, and I'm fine with that (even though I liked Gaines and Brown--well, the latter, most of the time).
H2o Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I don't think Matthews fit into their plans tbh along with his injury history. Preston had a higher price tag on himself than the Bills did then he threw shade at them with the Pats tweet. Buh-bye. Signing Davis made Gaines expendable. Gaines injury sheet is much longer than Davis and Davis has performed at a higher level. Gaines also likely valued himself more than we did.
Steptide Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 If beane and McDermott think the way I think they think, my guess is they think they can get better production out of a draft pick, or guys they signed in the off season, like Rod Streator. I wanted matthews back, I think he's much better than what we saw last year, but if zay steps up this year, then whatever
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Just a guess but the Bills view Zay Jones as the slot guy, they want a speed guy outside opposite Benjamin. Brown wasn't a fit. Gaines injuries scared them. Also I'm pretty sure all 3 wanted to play elsewhere if the money was close.
GETTOTHE50 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Im going to miss how Brown was durable. But I will certainly not miss when he got abused in the passing game. Especially against Gronk. He was hopeless there.
beacon Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Brown was a goner as soon as he stood and watched gronk crush tre and he didn't crush gronk...
