Because he's available this year? Teams are drafting smarter and that might mean holding off on QB's in the first round when they've got obvious flaws. I can see him slipping into the 2nd. but....teams are also considering the benefit of the 5th yr. option in rd.1.
wppete Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Please no. I would be very disappointed if something like this happens.

Browns - Darnold 2. Giants - Barkley 3. Jets - Rosen 4. Browns - Chubb 5. Broncos - Allen 6. Colts - Nelson 7. Cardinals - Mayfield (Trade up with Tampa) 8. Bears - Trumaine Edmunds 9. 49ers - Derwin James 10 Raiders - Roquan Smith 11 Dolphins - Vita Vea 12 Bills - Leighton Vander Eshe Vander Eshe is a one year fella. Might be good, but I'd rather take that chance at 22. If Beane allows Cards to jump him and get Mayfield, it will be a huge fail. Much more likely we make that move.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 that is a good draft. I really like double up on wide receivers

[click the link for the rest of the article] i would be extremely happy with this draft. i can't claim to have vast knowledge on all these guys, but it looks like a good influx of young talent. and then they can grow together and get ready for the influx of veteran talent that will be coming with next year's cap space. 4 hours ago, Domdab99 said: top 5 picks are all reaches except for maybe Ridley i don't even care about reaches if they pan out to be good players. if they were picked a bit earlier than they were projected to go, so be it. as long as they are not busts.

Can Ridley really go that late though? That seems optimistic. No way does Mayfield make it to 22. look where all the mock drafts had Brady Quinn when he fell to 22
