Talley56 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 To some extent better play to some extent better luck. Also, some AFC teams who are usually better have been going downhill lately (Baltimore, Denver, Indy). Not downplaying our playoff run but we were fortunate that the Dolphins pretty much threw in the towel in their last game while the Bengals played their hearts out for what they thought would be Marvin Lewis’ last game.
Bing Bong Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Our secondary. Did you happen to watch any games last year? 12 hours ago, dayman said: Just shows how ridiculous the drought was. Average/bad teams make a wildcard almost every year. This year, we finally got to be that team! It was awesome. We went to Jax and kicked a FG! Jax was good. Between bortles and tyrod vs 2 great secondaries I would have bet the under for overall score every quarter 2 hours ago, auburnbillsbacker said: Tyrod didn't turn the ball over and the bend but not break defense bent but didn't break. row_33 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 What is truly a weaker opponent for strength of schedule purposes? cleveland or Miami not even pretending to care on week 17 putting in a horrible QB (yet still making a game against the Bills...)
without a drought Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 QB'S injuries, weak AFC and a lot of luck. And let's not forget returning an incomplete pass for a TD.

The offensive coaching this past season was, while not as bad as mike McCoy era, irritatingly conservative. Kicker has always been the Chargers Achilles heal for years.

reddogblitz Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Throughout the course of the season based on the rules set in place by the NFL, the Bills were better than 10 other teams in the AFC. Just like the time before that. No reAson for excuses or talk of lucking in. luck is part of the game. There are 10 teams in the AFC that wish they were as good as us this year. Buffalo Bills Fan Inferiority Complex is alive and well We got in because we were better than the other teams.if they were better, they would'Ve gotten in insteAd of us. It's not complicated. 1
