BuffaloHokie13 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 The draft can also be tracked in this Google Sheet, which will have all picks on the first tab and a running "Matt Miller's Best Available Players" list on the 2nd tab in case anyone is unsure who is available or just feels better looking at a list of options. 3 1

Crap, sorry. I forgot to add. Fixed

BuffaloBillyG Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 With the 1st selection, the Cleveland Browns select Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State The Giants @whatdrought are on the clock I am fully ready for and expecting the verbal backlash on this one. I know, I know "A RB at 1... TERRIBLE". "Cleveland wouldn't do that". The Mock Mel Kipers are going to spaz. I fully get it. And I agree. If there were trades, pick here absolutely would have been a QB. Can't take the chance of losing this guy to the Giants. A backfield with Barkley and Hyde with TT and his running ability make my new ground game potentially deadly. Having Hyde lessens the workload for Barkley and delays that Rookie Wall that happens so often. Unlike past Browns regimes...I have a plan! 1
Just Joshin' Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 So is this what you would do or what you think the Browns will do? 1
section122 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I just realized I can make myself really unpopular around here if I draft a qb at 11 2 1

K D Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 can we get a re-do? we are off to a bad start. no offense but i was hoping this would be somewhat realistic

Presented with the option as it is, I'd be less worried about missing a top QB in a deep class than a consensus top player on the board.
TheBeane Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I think it's a good pick for exactly the reason stated. Get the pick you think the Giants MIGHT take and you can get a top 4 qb at 4. 1
K D Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 no RB will be a top pick in any draft ever again, doesn't matter what the format is. i figured a risque pick would be picking Allen over Darnold at 1. this is too unrealistic

I'd have done the same as you.
JohnBonhamRocks Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) If there are no trades, I would take Barkley #1 as the Browns. All that says is that they think 3 QBs are pretty much equal atop the board. 7 minutes ago, kdiggz said: no RB will be a top pick in any draft ever again, doesn't matter what the format is. i figured a risque pick would be picking Allen over Darnold at 1. this is too unrealistic Edited April 5, 2018 by JohnBonhamRocks

Even if that's what you believe, the top 4 picks might end up with the same overall players, just not to the teams you thought. Could still be close. Because of the no trades, I think this Barkley is a possibility, especially if they like multiple QB's

Now if Chubb goes #4.... 1
