sidbuff Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Depending how soon we arrive on Saturday, BIG TY would like to go to Niagra Falls. How long of a drive is it from the Holiday Inn to Niagra Falls.
VABills Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 40 minutes or so. And about 40 minutes to find a parking spot.

VABills Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Park in the casino lot, and take the bus. 20607[/snapback] Fine so you find a spot in 5 minutes and 30 minutes to get to the falls, whatever. Yes parking sucks in NF.

Last time I was there, it took 5 minutes to park, 2 minutes to wait for the bus, and 5 minutes to get from the lot to the casino.

It used to be easy to park and walk to the falls. Now if you don't know it's a pain.

njsue Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Thruway east bound to 190 north. Easy stuff. Been there tons of times.
Fezmid Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I lived in NF, it's about 30-45 minutes (depending on how fast you drive). Not sure what all the talk about parking is about; I visited the Falls again last year for Easter and parked in a free lot (!) by the Falls and walked about 2 minutes to the Falls. No bus, no long waits, nothing. Unless things have changed since last year, parking was readily available. I'm flying home at 3:16pm CST today and will be there until next Tuesday. Yay! CW
aussiew Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Some posters may be referring to the Canadian side and the parking problems. When I was up a few weeks ago, I went out onto Goat Island (on the USA side) and it was GREAT. Simple to park (but cost $8) and a short walk down to the falls. I could see both the USA falls and the Canadian side. Awesome spot.
