Whatever Rosen is 100 percent correct.

Now why feel the need to bring up a 2017 article??

if you want to get on your knees for the quitter coach there is a college forum

Well I mean...I'm sure Nick Saban is unbiased and doesn't have a vested interest in seeing college football stay exactly the way it currently is! Right?

I'm also sure that being a player in 1970 at Kent State is exactly the same as being a player in 2018 at Alabama or UCLA. Nothing's changed.

Long live the honorable Nick Saban!

132 - 20 record at Alabama with 5 national championships. I think he's just a little more credible than Rosen.

Why not bring it up?

Because it has been talked about.

Rosen is 100% correct with his indentured servitude and two job comment.

Ask Saban if his coaching staff is in the weight room and film rooms during Feb with his team.

Ooo wait the Quitter wont admit to violating NCAA regulations

Excellent comments from the greatest college coach of all time.

http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/08/nick_saban_football_isnt_any_m.html

This is rich:  college coach commenting on talk of mixing football with difficult academic majors when this same coach pumps his players through a football program where his players "major" in Business, Exercise and Sport Science, Communications Studies and Criminal Justice.

Also, in response to Rosen's comments, this is coming  from a coach that hasn't produced a viable NFL QB starter--they just ain't smart enough to play.

Careful.  We may be on the cusp of having AJ McCarron as our starting QB this season.

Rosen from article : "Picking a difficult major and playing high-end college football is practically impossible, he said.

Saban has an undergraduate degree in business. Is that a difficult major?

Posted

Rosen is right. Saban is wrong. Alabama is a cupcake academic school, while UCLA is not. And the amount of academic hours that a prestiguous UCLA major will require, won't even be close to the amount of hours that a run of the mill Alabama major will require.

Bingo.  Rosen's initial comments were regarding football along with a demanding academic major.  The type of move a lot of "football factory" programs wouldn't even let players consider.  Saban isn't turning out future doctors and lawyers.

Barrett Jones earned his BS/MS in accounting in 4 yrs. He finished undergrad with a 4.0. Accounting isn't easy especially at a top program like Alabama's.

Unsure what goes on in Exercise Science at Bama. But it is actually an incredibly difficult field, following a similar track to pre-med/bio and requires gross anatomy.  Might want to remove that one.
