He was the first black QB to ever start a season (1969) opener in the NFL. He was the first QB I ever saw who 'flicked' the ball, effortlessly. I am voting for Harris also. 1
BillsPride12 Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Out of the guys who actually had game....Favre, Marino, Elway were the best gunslingers I've seen in my lifetime
BillsGuru4 Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Jamarcus Russel and Josh Allen of the 2018 Buffalo Bills
vincec Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) I feel like the people voting for Elway and Favre are getting fooled a little because those guys threw the ball hard almost all the time. So yeah, they can break fingers and leave "cross hairs" on 20 yard square ins by gunning it but that doesn't mean they had the best arms. Of the guys I saw, my vote if for Jeff George. He could gun it or throw it with touch. Plus he had the release of Dan Marino.. The most physically talented QB I ever saw. The fact that he was just average shows you how much of that position is played with the head. Edited March 29, 2018 by vincec

SouthNYfan Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Favre Marino had crazy velocity and threw frozen ropes effortlessly Elway Kelly had a cannon Kyle Boller Hell Rex Grossman and Jay Cutler had guns also.
njbuff Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 I guess none of you guys have ever heard of Joe Namath? He set the gold standard for arm strength.
