1st Ammendment NoMas Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 talk about hit or miss. owwwww! some of these drafts really screwed us and some yielded gold. Let's hope for gold this time.
Chuck Wagon Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 So basically one of these picks is going to be good and the other is going to be garbage.
Buftex Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 I will always say, John McCargo was th worst 1st round pick of the Bills, sine 1980... and we traded up to get him 4

BigDingus Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 The Bills sure do like to trade with Cleveland for 1st round picks lol 1
McBean Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Welp, now you know why we've sucked for a decade..
BigDingus Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 It also seems the usually 1 of the 2 guys ends up being hits, or 1 of the guys has a career cut short by injuries.
hondo in seattle Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 The general trend seems to be that when we have two picks in the first round, we end up with one good player and one not-so-good player. Lesson learned: GMs and scouts are often wrong. Let's hope the personnel guys we have now are better.

He was a sack “specialist” who never recorded a sack in his time in Buffalo. McCargo at least was a late first rounder...Maybin was top 10. But yeah, McCargo outside of a few moments was pretty bad. 1

They've got to better than the scouts we had in 2006 who picked McCargo and Whitner both in the 1st round.

I never had much faith in him. He played with 2 other first round picks on the line at NC State worse than Mike Williams who we took #2 and only got a few years out of? Aaron maybin? Dude barely qualified as a sack artist in college. Just now, Buffalo716 said: He was a very late first... I never had much faith in him. Subtle changes in interpretation can make a big difference in the discussion. Big mike was the big bust... but was he the worst pick?

My list for worst 1st rounders would definitely be Maybin and Mike Williams McCargo was drafted late first and I never expected much
