FluffHead Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 JPP and a fourth for a third and a fourth. Perhaps a small blow to our trade up chances. Schefter says they may now consider drafting Chubb
K D Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 2m2 minutes ago More Another blockbuster trade: Giants trading DE Jason Pierre-Paul and a 2018 fourth-round pick to Buccaneers for a 2018 third-round pick and a fourth-round pick, source tells ESPN. this might impact our chances of trading up if they already have an extra 3rd round pick. they might want Chubb as a replacement so they will need to stay in the top 5 to ensure that. but my hope is they are conceding that they will not be selecting a QB so the smart move is to trade down Edited March 22, 2018 by kdiggz
HumbleAndHungry Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Wow this is an unexpected move. There's been much speculation that Gettleman may be In win now mode. This transaction contradicts that narrative Edited March 22, 2018 by Finkle Is Einhorn
Jay_Fixit Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) If I did a mock, which I don’t because they’re dumb, I’d put Chubb going at 2. And that was before this trade. Because drafting for need is also dumb. Unless it’s a QB. Edited March 22, 2018 by Jay_Fixit 1
K D Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 3m3 minutes ago More The #Bucs are trading for #Giants pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul, source confirms (as @AdamSchefter said). Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 4m4 minutes ago More Now that the Giants have traded Jason Pierre-Paul to the Buccaneers, maybe they consider Bradley Chubb at No. 2.

17islongenough Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Should have been a 3rd and 5th representing the number of fingers he has on each hand. 3 3
HumbleAndHungry Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Yolo what was the cap hit for JPP and how did kdigzz break this news before you Edited March 22, 2018 by Finkle Is Einhorn
DrDawkinstein Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Dang, I dont like them acquiring picks. That means they need ours less. 1
Buddy Hix Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 So the Bills have to move up to #4 before they can again move up to #2...sounds easy and cheap.

BrooklynBills Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 They are moving to 34 defense. JPP is not a fit as 34 LB. They need lots of pieces on defense. 2
HumbleAndHungry Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) OK Yolo hear me out. Putting Salary cap numbers aside, could the Giants making this move be indicative of a trade offer the bills have on the table which would include Jerry Hughes. Jerry Hughes Is around 10 million against cap correct? So the cap Numbers would be a wash. They are both 29 years old so age isnt factor. But of the Giants knew they could net two decent draft picks for JPP, with the knowledge that they would just be replacing him with Jerry Hughes it could make sense as part of a trade up package Edited March 22, 2018 by Finkle Is Einhorn 1
