Most sensible draft I've seen thus far... I'd rather grab Da'Ron Payne at 12, but I could live with this mock .. -It's not bad.

I was hoping that Payne would be there at 22 if we don't trade up. I guess not?

There's a lot of weak people in here. Scared to try and fill the most important position in all of sports because they are worried about positions that don't matter even half as much. You are really that concerned about your 3rd wr who stinks anyhow because he drops the ball? Who was going to throw to him anyhow? Peterman? Get a grip

With the unfortunate Zay Jones incident the Bills are now less inclined to give away draft capital.

The list of needs has now expanded to both deep threat and slot receiver along with QB, CB, LB and DT.

Salary cap money is limited and what would be required to move up is too costly to give any of the picks we currently have.

I felt before this sorry excuse of public conduct that Zay would be much improved this year at the Slot receiver position.  Now we are looking at probably a 4 game suspension for conduct and possibly even worse if drugs are involved.

Its not all gloom and doom, outside of Darnold, the other three of the "big four" are flawed in ways that may not be correctable.

Give me Lamar Jackson at 12, the LB Vander Eshe or Evans at 22.  WR DJ Chark at 53, DT Harrison Phillips at 56, C Frank Ragnow at 65, CB Holton Hill at 96 and hopefully in the 4th WR Deshean Hamilton of Penn State

that works .  trust the process.   Jackson can play.   NFL teams can only be built to last via the draft

Dude... It POURED in LA during his workout. -It seemed like the clouds WAITED for him to start throwing, so they could dump on him... EVERY FREAKIN' BODY WAS THERE!   -Kid never batted an eye... Spun the ball so clean and accurate, you'd swear it was 75 and sunny outside... Color me impressed with his throwing ability in bad weather.

Whos that at his pro day? Talking to giants guy

Very depressed to be honest with you.  Darnold's pro day locked him as the top QB.  Don't want anything to do with Rosen (concussion history and pocket awareness that will lead to more hits and concussions), Allen (Accuracy issues, two year minimum development time before he can even play), or Mayfield (Can't fix short and he's a stats guy playing in a system to give him lots of easy completions and played in an awful defensive conference, and is too high strung emotionally for my tastes)

So, if we trade up to the 2nd pick I would be very unhappy.

I get the feeling that some posters would turn down Kate Upton.

What? That’s ridiculous in no way sape or form dies a guy who catches 27 balls for 300 yards and change with 2 tds alter our draft. Literally there are dozens of guys on the street that can do that, along with some undrafted gems that likely can have that production. Step off of the ledge. The sky isnt falling.

That's Doug Whaley, he is still under contract we are just using him for a scout for bad weather pro days.

Exactly. I don't believe Zay's arrest affects the draft much at all. It crossed my mind at first, but for only a second. WR was already a need, and we don't yet know how the Bills or the league will respond to his arrest.

Beane and the Bills won't let one player alter their plan.

That would be Terrance Gray, Director of College Scouting standing next to Giants Dude, Pat Schumer.

WR is probably our weakest position.  Benjamin came into camp out of shape almost every year in Carolina and has had injury problems throughout his career.  We still don't have a WR that can effectively stretch the field.  Now we have the Jones incident.  Last year's WR class performed terribly as a whole their rookie year.  This year's class doesn't look much better.  We need to at least resign Thompson and draft a WR with speed we lost when letting Goodwin and Watkins go.

I would argue QB is the weakest position.

So about that QB position... McCarron and Peterman, yea that might be the weakest position. There is literally not an NFL starter there.

To me it's a 3 way tie.  QB, WR, and MLB.  All are equally weak.

I disagree that Darnold's pro day locked him in as the top QB.  Teams aren't foolish enough to over evaluate making throws in t-shirts and shorts.  When the real bullets are flying, Darnold has a whole season of poor decisions that dont get erased by a pro day.

Darnold is likely still in the same spot on the board today as he was with each team.  He came out and did what he was expected and supposed to do.  So I dont know why people keep making such a big deal about it.  If you are a team with him as your top QB, then all it did was reassure you of that.  If you have Rosen or Baker at #1, nothing today probably changed that because its not like Rosen or Baker had bad pro days and Darnold somehow had a better one.

There are teams who see him as #1, just like I am sure there are teams who rank one or more of the other guys ahead of him.  The only question that matters is who the Browns see as the top QB right now.

A) Darnold had a pretty good year overall (watch the Stanford games), and B) it is a lock that he's going number one.
