I like Mayfield, but def not getting my hopes up. The Jets also met with him 4 times and several teams have met with him multiple times. Can't wait for the draft!!

Regarding this...  one thing I know is that more meetings isn’t always better than less meetings in terms of interest. It usually means teams have more questions and feel the need to continue meeting.

You only care about the ones you love.

“I think I’ve seen that in Cleveland and also with a lot of young quarterbacks all over the league, because most of them have a lot of success their whole lives, and all of a sudden the NFL is a different game, and everything they thought they knew about themselves—that they were great leaders, and they could throw the ball and read defenses, and that their will would always overcome—they start to question those things and lose their confidence, and some never regain it.”

I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy that has said Baker should go #1 overall. Huge, huge fan of the guy.

That said, this could be a legit question. Except this: he's not ONLY known success. We are all familiar with the story on how he got to OU. I don't recall him winning any national championships. Criticism has served as his fuel, and that's a good thing cause he's going to fail a bunch. I'd rather have the guy that has risen above.

Sport is full of these athletes.

I think he's special on so many levels - he's the guy that lifts themselves and others and are always of the moment. My only fear is having to face him twice a year.

I hear ya. Nobody knows for sure why so many meetings with one prospect. Could be they love a guy or like you said, and try to uncover more info about the guy. It's gonna be a fun 4 weeks

Mother Goose is all in on Baker Mayfield:
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, Baker's my man,
Bake me a cake, as fast as you can;
Pat it, prick it, and mark it with QB,
Put it in the huddle for baby and me.

I've always felt that the top 3 QB targets for the Bills have been:

1) Rosen

2) Darnold

3) Mayfield

Backwards, The bills covet competitiveness and leadership. Baker Mayfield will not only be the arm that moves his team but an emotional force in the locker room for the next decade.

Already worked him out but now bringing him in for a visit. Interesting. Either they really like him, are realizing hes the only one they have a realistic shot at, or this is a smoke screen.

Or they’ll meet with them all as much as possible as including our own pick our division will have at least 1 if not 2-3 additional of the top 6 or so QBs potentially joining teams. If he ends up on the Jets, it’s great insight, for instance. And the dolphins and pats might also be looking at second tier guys we get linked to.

Besides Jeremy White's "Sabres Twitter guy" that's the first report I've seen saying Bills are interested in drafting Mayfield. I wonder if this is new information or if their draft board has changed since the combine/pro day/private wo
