Just go back and reread that dude's O-Line film thread for literally every game for the past 3 years. It was great analysis, no sarcasm. Sometimes Taylor bailed out his line, sometimes his line played excellent as did Taylor, and sometimes the line played well as Taylor ran into sacks and spies.

I've read people make this statement a few times in different posts and thought it deserved a thread.  First off this is B.S. in my opinion.  I think he made the line lool worse.  Why you ask?

1.  Since 2016 Taylor has had the highest time to throw in NFL.  Meaning he holds the ball the longest.

2.  He almost never throws the ball at the top of his dropback.  He never anticipates the throw and rarely throws based on timing.   Instead he waits for people to get open causing dline to get pressure and fans who don't understand things say wow...he saved a sack there but instead if the ball came out on time there would be no pressure at all.

3.  Taylor's footwork was/is terrible.  Instead of stepping up in the pocket (which was solid due to wood and Ritchie most of the time) he moved into where the defense was a lot.

For these reasons a QB who can throw with anticipation and has better mobility within the pocket will make the oline look much better.

Discuss.  :)

You’ll find out soon enough.

God only knows what relevance Nick's 2013 season has to that. Perhaps you'll explain. Good luck trying.

It means that any backup can put up numbers comparable to Tyrods best season.

I know that was difficult for you to comprehend, then again you can't fix stupid! Go root for the Browns as your infatuation runs deep for Tyrod.

On balance, Tyrod's play led to more sacks for the reasons cited by the OP.  His mobility enabled him to escape pressure on occasion, but not enough to overcome his handicaps in the passing game.

Why couldn’t he beat Sam Bradford ?    Why did the Redskins defense shut him out for a half of football ?     Why did he stop throwing to Sammy in the chiefs game ?

Because he sucks.     The Browns are his destiny.

Football isn’t singles tennis or golf. It wasn’t Tyrod vs the field.

Most of these boys believe the next QB will be great. This is their belief. They feel there will be a great QB who carries the team on his back even though there are only about 6 of those players in the league. They think you can remove Tyrod and everything will magically change. They're judging a middle of the road QB against Brady and it's stupid. For what he was Tyrod was a good player for the Bills. He was never supposed to be Brady unless you live in a fiction where all the QBs are great.
