Its looking like the more coveted QBs in this draft will be long gone before the 12th pick and those that do fall to 12 McCarron may have more upside than. Possibly QB in round 2.  Im thinking they're shifting gears and aiming at getting a stud linebacker. Its obvious by looking at Carolinas LB core that McDermott greatly values having top notch Lbers in his system. As of right now we have absolutely no obvious starters on our roster.  If not Tremaine maybe  Roquan Smith*, OLB/ILB, Georgia ?

Dont like the idea of not going qb

Probably won't be a Beane temptation anyway.  I don't think he'll make it to 12.

Raiders get him and with Mack in place, they will be tough to plan against.

Before the combine and senior bowl i wanted edmunds at 22, so called scout pundits and mock drafters of the world had him ranked in the mid to upper 2nd round.  Dude never stops on the field.  It always looks like he is going 100% all day everday.  But now after senior bowl and combine he is in top 10.  So if he is at 12 and we dont go qb i hope we can get him but 49ners and raiders prolly take them.

Big, fast, sure tackler, there's plenty to like about Edmunds accept his father was a Miami Dolphin TE (Ferrell Edmunds), that may be his only negative. He doesn't have elite instincts but he makes up for it with his athleticism

A couple things gleaned from Sirius NFL interview heard last week.

Kid is only 19 yrs old.  Would he be able to mentally adjust to and be accepted in an NFL locker room.

Only started 2 years.

Feels like he is ready for league as given dad was ion NFL and brothers all play he has football in his veins.

Okay, nice to take a break from qb threads. I’ll play.

Bills trade up in the first but wait, it’s not for a qb. They trade up from 22 and take Smith and Edmunds.

Talk about shock on draft day but we would have a stacked linebacker group.

If Edmunds is there at 12,it's a no brainer.Smith is a starter day one as well..but it's tough to single out any one player on that Bulldog defense...they,as a group,we're dominating most of the time..

Only issue I see here is if both become the studs you hope for it becomes difficult to retain two lbs after their rookie contracts. With your first round picks your shooting for career players to retain
