Have not even seen a rumor about a visit outside of the Bucs noise weeks ago.

He finding out that his market is not what he thought it was? The more the days go by, the more likely he takes a 1 year 6-7 million dollar buffalo deal to rehab his value.

With both Honeybadger and Mo Claiborne getting 1 year 7 million deals, can't see EJ with his injury history getting more.

I think his market was over-estimated but he should find a home soon.

Packers need a CB but not sure he’s a great fit with Pettine scheme

I have not seen a comment by the Bills. Have they made Gaines an offer that he declined?

I would assume they made him a standing offer.

The only comment was that they didn’t think the vontae signing precluded him from returning.

Gaines may wind up a bargain similar to McCarron.  Only risk is that the Bills offend him and the bargain gets enjoyed by somebody else.

Offend him?

I’m assuming Pettine still runs a lot of man so I wouldn’t think he’s a good fit there.

What other zone teams need a QB?

I don’t know about that. I would think Gaines feels some type of tie to a team that traded for him. Gaines also enjoyed maybe his best season last year when he was healthy. If the entire market feels that the injury concern needs to be factored into the equation, Gaines will need to decide where to go on a short term show me deal. Buffalo would make as much sense as anyone else if true.

We don’t have any money left to spend.

Restructure Hughes and Shady and we'd be good. Push their money into next year when we have 90 million under cap.

The value of three quality corners should not be underestimated.  The Bills have one.

i got the feeling from listening to the gm that they have to let him test the waters and have not given him a bottom line offer.

i think he comes back. that would make a beautiful backfield and i'm sure beane feels that way. i'm betting he comes back.

We can't forget about Leonard Johnson too. We really need some CB signings in addition to LB.

I think Leonard Johnson is coming back.  He knows coach McD and Beane and came to Buffalo partly because of Coach McD.  I think they have told him they will resign him later but right now they need the cap room to sign others and then they can do some cash contract moves to fit him.
