JXCOL3 Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Now that Preston Brown has signed with the bengals, is our best bet to land a solid starter in the draft? Or did i miss something and there is still a day one starter on our squad/FA
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Our LB situation is by far the biggest weakness on this team. We need a side line to side line tackling LB that is good in coverage. I think their is a guy in this draft that Beanie and McD love at 12 but they won't be able to draft him if they trade up for a QB. Our depth at the LB position is also very thin maybe the worst in the NFL. I don't see late rd draft picks or what's left in FA fixing this problem.
r00tabaga Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Wil Compton would be a nice addition. He could man the middle for one year.

Time to get NaVorro Bowman on a 1 year deal. 3 minutes ago, r00tabaga said: Wil Compton would be a nice addition. He could man the middle for one year. Hopefully a Jordan Poyer at LB situation. Player not good until they come to Buffalo.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I wish we traded up to 2 or 3 already so we knew which picks we actually had left. If we don’t move up further then I bet we take an ILB for the next decade in the first round or 2. I am assuming we are going up so it’s hard to figure what picks we will have left.
ColdFront_USAF Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I wouldn't be surprised to see a bandaid player fill this spot this year. Someone on a one year deal. It should be a priority next season assuming we land our qb this season.
oldmanfan Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Vallejo comes back right? They liked what they saw before he got hurt 1

TigerJ Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Buffalo doesn't have a lot of cap money left to sign a name linebacker in free agency. Bowman is probably out of the picture. Compton is probably in play as he would be cheaper. He can start in the middle if need be. Otherwise, the Bills will mainly be looking in the draft.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I remember seeing Compton on the field for the Redskins but I never watched him close enough to really tell if he can run. If he can’t run and it’s another piano back Preston Brown, then I don’t want him in the Middle. Worst comes to worst, put Milano in the middle.

I’m a UGA guy so extremely biased when I think Roquan is the best to come out at the position since Kuechly. I will say the kid out of VT ,Edmunds, also could be a good option In the first. Then there is Evans from Bama and Vander Esch out of Boise State. Any of those four should be day one starters in the middle. MLB is the priority I feel like in this D. The Bills can find OLB in other places and later rounds.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Knowing how our GM works, maybe we can trade Lawson for a MLB.
