While I can't blame Hue Jackson for finally being happy to have a competent QB, to make a statement that there IS no competition this early sends the wrong message. While McDermott, no matter the player, makes it clear that they have to come in and compete for their job. That's what they call creating a culture. I’ve got to believe they draft one of the named QB prospects and if so let them compete. This declaration just seems stupid unless they really believe that Tyrod has more to offer than what was on display in Buffalo. 1

So maybe he strays from the top three and trades down, then picks up more players that can help him this year. Dumb for the team in the long run but self-preservation.

H2o Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Hue knows he has to put up some W's or he is gone. Tyrod gives him the best chance to do that over a Rookie. He is a solid game manager who doesn't turn the ball over.
