YoloinOhio Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Cut by Browns today. Originally drafted by Steelers, traded after they drafted JuJu and Martavius returned. Liked him at Auburn but his hands are suspect. Speedy though, still has potential. It’s worth pointing out that he has a great attitude and very willing ST player so McD might like that. Thought he might be a nice downfield weapon for TT with his deep ball but I think Pryor is on his way back to Cleveland so he could be out for that reason. 2
MrEpsYtown Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Could be a nice gunner and catch an occasional deep ball. I think he would be a younger, cheaper, faster version of Holmes. 1
BillsFan130 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Was he the guy who ripped it for the Steelers for like 2 games in 2016, then pretty much did nothing after? Speed guy?

Speed guy? Yeah he is super talented. Would be worth taking a look at for the Bills given their WR situation.
frogger Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I liked him at Auburn, I was surprised it didn’t work in Pittsburgh. He could develop into a pro bowl special team and 5 WR...so yeah, I’d take him

RyanC883 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I think so. I'd nab him and Crabtree as FA WR's. Other interesting FA WR's (not on Bills): Eli Rodgers and Mike Wallace.
MAJBobby Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) Absolutely Zero Route tree with him. Just going to go deep then it is a total unkown if he will catch it once thrown. Sure a nice vet min contract and i am on board Edited March 15, 2018 by MAJBobby

#34fan Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Hm. Could be a nice downfield blocker for Shady... Depends on his price.
peterpan Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 He was a stud at Auburn but getting cut by the browns....? I'm torn. But sure why not
Jay_Fixit Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 (edited) People complain about Zay Jones’ hands. He’s got nothing on Sammie Coates. As far as the terribleness goes. Edited March 15, 2018 by Jay_Fixit
LA Grant Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 If he comes cheap... Why not? We need to fill the "speedy Sammie with dreads" sized hole at WR somehow. 1

Watched a few Pitts games when he played and I believe he had 4 - 5 bad drops in one game alone. Great athlete otherwise but zero hands.
Seanbillsfan2206 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Ben Coates was a pretty good TE for New England back in the day.
