baskingridgebillsfan Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Are they Tapped out. 5 million for aj 7 for Murphy 2 for bush and Jet linebacker 6 for Kyle figure at least 7 for Star x amount for draft picks This may not leave much left They will pick a up a little when the Wood thing get worked out.
bkep32 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 if your numbers are right that prolly pretty close to being done. they had around 37 to 38 to start with...need around 6 to 9 for draft picks.
longtimebillsfan Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 You have to admit, they have made the most out of a week ago looked like a very restrictive cap number. What McBeane has accomplished is amazing.

Virgil Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Hopefully they have a little more for an OT and linebacker. 1

Those are AAV's and not first year cap hits, which would be much lower (and I think Kyle will get closer to $4M).
baskingridgebillsfan Posted March 15, 2018 Author Posted March 15, 2018 Like to think they have more to add a solid linebacker or another corner
mattt9998 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Totally depends how contracts are structured. Hope for big signing bonuses to spread the $ over the length of the contract. We were tight for this year, but have tons of space after this season. I hope to see some current deals restructured before training cap. I fully expect moves to keep being made after the draft.
Misterbluesky Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Having all of that dead cap money on our hands is a tough pill to swallow.

Paul Costa Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Still need a inside LB and Thompson and another low end WR
JerseyBills Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 5 picks in top 65 is priceless though. Will put their stamp on this roster

One thing about the Top 51 Cap Limit is that for every player signed another lower paid player drops off. The guys dropping off are generally around 500k. So if you sign a guy for 1.5 million only 1 million will be added to the 51 Cap. Bills get to "designate" 2 Cap Hits to the "post June 1 cut" criteria. Bills haven't done that yet (Wood is probably 1 they will use it on). Tyrod or Glenn probably will be the other. Then like others have already said the AAV is different from the 1st year Cap Hit. I was guessing we got about 10-12 million left after the dust settles today. The "designated" guys should get the Bill's back to about 16-18. Enough for 2 decent sized signings. I'm looking for a LB and OL myself.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Do we still not know what the Star Lotulelei deal is for? Anybody?
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I’ll post it tomorrow in the Bills 2018 cap thread when the #s come available. 2
Green Lightning Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 That can always restructure Shady and Hughes.
