Buffalo_Gal Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 With a parachute on it! That's an expensive little plane there ($2M).
Marv's Neighbor Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I saw the plane, before the chute, and was wondering how it could even be in the air, with no forward speed. I'm sure the pilot is relieved, the insurance company, not so much.
Fadingpain Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Surprised they don't have some spinal injuries. That's a pretty big belly flop they did there, similar to the types of crashes helicopters can suffer. Some newer helicopter designs have energy absorbing seats which are designed to crumple on impact so as to take some of that energy out of the pilot's back.
Seasons1992 Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I'm never getting on a plane where a parachute is used due to poor engine reliability. No thanks.
