That was Derek Anderson.

Could have sworn Anderson was his back up that year.

True story about Anderson though. Once saw him tackle Gale Sayers in the open field.

At this time I think McCarron would want too much money and would not want to come here knowing we are trading up.

I was thinking that too at first.  But Beane sitting tight after his move up the draft board yesterday might be wise.

After Elway blinked last night the QA frenzy was on and Beane did nothing.

What teams are left looking to sign McCarron or Bridgewater?

If no one signs either in the next day or two then their contract terms (especially length) will go down.

The Jet's signing McCown makes things even better.

Guess we'll see soon.

What are his other options? This is currently the only starting job up for grabs. You play well enough before the rookie comes in and someone else will pay you. His only other option is to sign a backup contract to be a backup, not compete for a starting job.

...Jesus, MOST of that list is uglier than the "stars" on "The View".....kind of tells you about the deplorable conditions of the NFL QB spot when some of these clowns can STILL masquerade as a QB and "extort" a paycheck....poor George Blanda rolled over for the 38th time.............

I wonder if there's a QB we can grab from CFL....

Yeah, but who is left to pay him now?

..pretty sure the CFL tightened the screws on contractual "NFL out clauses" circa 2014 to protect the integrity of the league....so only option now is contract expiration or "UFA status" as we know it stateside.....

...agree...much to his chagrin, the market is collapsing around him......pretty amazing turnaround.....went from Browns blown deal to playing Gin Rummy with Orton eating popcorn.......

One of them will most likely be our starter this year, so putting time and thought into them is speculation about who our QB will be to start 2018.  NOt even remotely the same as "obsessing about the third string outside linebacker."

If you are correct, I would agree with you.  If you are correct, we'll be talking about the 2019 draft by Halloween
