We're better than this....

Bills fans are known for their heart, not their heads. And 17 years of irrelevance have seriously taken their toll on the fanbase.

John Murphy, hands down...when compared to the other hosts, his knowledge and intelligence on what’s going on and info on prospects is very limited... his show is basically a joke and I can’t wait for it to be replaced by Sal’s own show.

Love Schoop and Jeremy and Sal...they are much better critical thinkers.

Sal C. Total fan boy. Interjects himself, explicitly, and implicitly, in most of his conversations. Often he frames his conversations in a way that tries to give him credibility or "experience drops." Last time I heard him and couldn't change the channel, I think on a gamer day, he said "I walked out the tunnel this morning and it was a beautiful day for football." Not simply "Hey, it's a great day for football" but interjecting himself into it. All the time. Don't care about his kid. And every time he's on with other WGR people, he cuts them off. Annoying as hell. Knowledgeable, but in a horrible package.

After that it's Jeremy White, who takes all his cues and knowledge from pop cultural and social media, has no original thoughts of his own, just a regurgitator of collective approved ideas.

Sal C. is actually one of the one's I can stand.

Mike Schopp for sure, I can't understand how such a great football market such as ours has to deal with the garbage sports talk we get, Sal is the only thing good in WNY talk and he doesn't even have his own show.

The X's and O's guys or former players are the garbage to listen to, no originality whatsoever, they just repeat the crap spewed by the national media.

Schopp is probably the best, that's why he gets paid the most and is in the best time slot.

John Murphy is the worst by far.

Looks like someone got hung up on. I don't really grade other peoples opinions, but John Murphy is such a Bills homer it's hard to listen to.

isnt he basically a paid employee of the Bills tho?   kinda his job ;)

Schoop, I don't even listen to the afternoon show anymore because I can't stand him

Yes but that's what makes him a bad listen

They are all bad in their own way.

The ones at the top of the list in any order:

Murph: Homer, anything you say against the bills is wrong.

Schoop: flip flopper/stubborn.  Either you agree with him or you're wrong and then when you do agree with him, he counters your point with a comment a previous caller he just called an idiot and hung up on made.

Bucky/Sully: Which article from the last 20 years should I rewrite this week to piss all over our fans?

Jerry Sullivan for me. Most negative guy around.

He's the reason why I no longer get the BN delivered to my home everyday.

How about the other side of the coin? Who are the best local media (print or tv/radio) to pay attention to?

(I live in Baltimore so I get most of my Bills news from this website, twitter, and occasionally will listen to WGR on my Amazon Alexa. However my wife (who likes the Bills) can't stand listening to WGR because she says the guys' voices give her a headache).

I think the best "follows" on twitter are: Sal C., Joe B., and Matthew Fairburn.

Joe B IMO seems to have the most grounded, well-researched, and un-biased (either way) information and view points.  He has no schtick or anything he needs to feed into so he is straight-forward.  He is the best of the lot.

I'll give you that 99% of the time.  He had it out for EJ.

Schopp is the best personality on WGR, by far... I'm so glad he doesn't put up with the stupidity from so many callers.

Vic Carucci is the worst one, easily. He gets by on his reputation from the 90s and has been consistently wrong with his predictions/reports the last few years.

They weren't any smarter in the Super Bowl years.

Really?  I think Vic has been pretty spot on with a lot of his reports.  "consistently wrong?"  Give me a few examples

to me its Murphy and Jones.  It is so vanilla and unlistenable.  Boring.  I like Murphy too from the most part, he runs a good show.  I think the problem is Jones.  I don't hate him so much, I just think you need a better Yang to Murphy's Yin.  Put the wrong guy there and the show is ruined.

Kind of when the Sabres put Harry Neale with Jeanneret and it was awful.  With Jeanneret, you need kind of a straight man (which Lorentz was and Rob Ray is, believe it or not).

Jones is kind of boring, never really thinks outside the box or takes chances, and always agrees with Murphy.

Lorenzo Alexander and Murph.  I dont think Murph likes to e outshined. I thought Donald was leaving the show anyway. What happened to that

Sal did kind of turn into Joe B. but I still think he offers way more than anyone else due to the fact that he has roots in the game.
