Shaw66 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Anything's possible. Beane's got a vision and he ain't afraid to go for it. Of course, as Badlands pointed out an hour ago, maybe Beane is a total lunatic off his medication. Who knows what's next? Wednesday is going to be very interesting.
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I would also think they would be looking for something in return for Shaq Lawson, Washington and also John Miller.
TheBrownBear Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 This was my very first thought after hearing the Glenn news. "I hope Hughes is next."

Neither of them outperformed Eddie Yarborough last season IIRC... get what you can from them, replace them with rookies/cheaper UFAs. Glenn was replaced by Dawkins. Taylor is anticipated to be replaced by Rookie/Bridge (not to mention that offer was a really solid return). I wouldn't take it off the table, but our d-line already has holes. Why add more?
Wayne Cubed Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I don’t see his replacement anywhere, is the problem. They’d need 2 DEs and they are already in need of a DT or 2... 1
LikeIGiveADarn Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Hughes for Foles? Schwartz got amazing production out of him, and I'm pretty sure the Eagles just cut a defensive lineman. 1

foreboding Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I doubt it, unless the plan is to sign Kirk Cousins or save cap to rollover to next year for some big FA signings. You do need D-Line players and we aren't going to be able to field an all rookie team. 1

entropyrules Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 If you love irony package Hughes and whatever picks work to the Colts for their pick at 3 1
Steptide Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I've said all along we need to keep Hughes. He had a down year, but I still think he's a great defensive end and will help the bills 1

Hopefully because they intend to beef up the front 7 with better players. Besides QB, our weakest area is probably DL/LB. Lawson was next to useless last season, so whatever you can get for his potential is worth it. I think Hughes' most productive days may be behind him, or at least, what he brings is no longer outweighing his cost. I'm not saying we should bet the future on Yarborough, I'm saying that a guy like that was about as productive as Hughes/Lawson, if not moreso; therefore Hughes/Lawson are replaceable.
Ittakestime Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 (edited) Maybe Indy wants him back. They need pass rush help bad. Hughes, 12 and 22 for 3 Edited March 12, 2018 by Ittakestime 1
