Fadingpain Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Hughes has been good for the Bills, but if he needs to go to fit into the emerging Plan For the Future, so be it. He probably won't be a contributor when the QB we are going to take arrives anyway.

The biggest cap hit now belongs to DE Jerry Hughes, at $10.4 million. It's worth pointing out Brandon Beane didn't sign Hughes to that contract. #12, Hughes to Indy for the #3 overall pick in the draft. Edited March 12, 2018 by Foxx
baskingridgebillsfan Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I guess if you could move up but for whom are they exactly are they going to spend all this money on

thenorthremembers Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Cut or trade the close to thirty year old defensive end who has averaged 5 sacks a year over the last three seasons while earning the third highest paycheck on the team. Yeah I think Id be ok with that, and honestly Ive expected it. 1
jamiezzz Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I want to move up to the 2nd pick. As long as Cleveland takes Barkley as I expect (my opinion), I want the top QB Buffalo Covets. No 2nd best.
Alphadawg7 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Moral of the story about the Beane regime: He covets culture, draft assets and cap flexibility and no one is safe in his pursuit of that.

Kirby Jackson Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I know a lot of people are speculating on Hughes but I can’t see how he goes. The Bills pass rush was already atrocious. They can’t let their best pass rusher go (especially when pass rush is so weak in the draft). They will need to add a top guy in 2019 whether Hughes is back or not. 1

Billznut Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 McBeane has done nearly everything to undue what Whaley did in his years here. Hughes is most definitely high on the list to go soon. If he’s needed to complete a trade up into the top three, so be it.
TheFunPolice Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I don't mean this as an insult to Hughes but I honestly forgot he was even on the team last season
T master Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I wouldn't put anything past this FO they are going for it !!
MrEpsYtown Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I could see a trade to Arizona or Indy as teams switching to a 4-3. I could also see Mike Pettine banging the table for him on his defense in Green Bay. I think he should stay.
Estelle Getty Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Yes, he will be. Almost started this thread myself
leper65 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 It'll be Shady, #12 and more picks to the Giants for #2. They need an RB and seem committed to Eli to win now.
