He claims he’s done it, but that would border on miraculous. We’ll see! Teams influence teams around them all of the time. It’s painfully common place. These things that “leak” at the oddest of times... yea, that’s done intentionally, in hopes players drop. No team is going to pass on a QB that they like better because another GM says somebody else is better.

I think you’re grossly oversimplifying my point. If your thought is “no team that is all in on a guy, will be made to think otherwise by a GMs thoughts”, you are right. It’s never that simple. There’s an incredibly elaborate strategy in leaking information about a candidate that you really hope to see fall to you. It is very real and it absolutely has an effect on scouting departments and GM’s across the board. There’s an incredibly elaborate strategy in leaking information about a candidate that you really hope to see fall to you. It is very real and it absolutely has an effect on scouting departments, coaches (to a degree) and GM’s across the board. Case in point, Rosen’s injury concerns and the correlation to his parents having medical background. That same conversation was used by Arizona, at the combine, with other teams. The problem... Arizona is said to be smitten by Rosen. But, even if their leaked concerns are a smokescreen, what they’ve floated as their phantom concern has already gained media attention, while slowly gaining traction. Yet Rosen still sits high atop their board. Happens all the time.

NewEraBills Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 (edited) Watching right now. Allen really needs a footwork coach. The kid can sling it though. Edited March 23, 2018 by NewEraBills

That's what got my attention as the other guys don't have the under center experience that he does. So you think Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen all go top 10? Gary Kubiak from Denver is there

Best shot after that is Cleveland at #4. Beyond that we're on the outside looking in. Edited March 23, 2018 by NewEraBills
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Listening to these guys At The Allen Pro Day talking about how Gms draft traits and not stats tells me why so many QBs fail. 2

Hopefully things begin to fall in place next week in Orlando.

Brand J Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 He has all the athletic ability you'd wish for in a QB, but the tape doesn't lie. 2

I think the biggest issue for him is why does he look like a different guy in shorts? DJ mentioned this as well. Allen looks phenomenal in shorts but why is it that when you watch game tape you see some of it but then you just see a lot of stuff that frustrates the hell out of you. That's my biggest fear with Allen. Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde QB.
