I don’t deny the obvious success, but I wouldn’t want him in charge of my draft. Since we don’t have Brady, we need better than that.

In 5 drafts between 2009 and 2013 (inclusive) they drafted: Patrick Chung Julian Edelman Sebastian Vollmer Devin McCourty Rob Gronkowski Brandon Spikes Aaron Hernandez Nate Solder Marcus Cannon Shane Vereen Chandler Jones Dont'a Hightower Jamie Collins Logan Ryan That is 14 pretty good NFL players at least 9 of whom have won Superbowls with them. They were 5 pretty good draft classes. From 2014 on their drafting has been below average without doubt... but Bill had a sweet spot there at the end of the decad where they consistently drafted well. 1
