aristocrat Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 If we use our draft capital to get him we use cap money to surround him with talent. Need great defensive tackles and a linebacker or two. If Glenn is healthy the line could be set. Nice run game. If jones can play better that go a long way for a rookie qb.

Minnesota - if it's Cousins, combined with that defense, it's a loss. Green Bay - Rodgers was shut down because we had a dominant defensive line that included a motivated Mario Williams and Marcel Dareus. That game was also won, because Rodgers missed a wide open Jordy Nelson on what would have been a guaranteed 70+ yard TD pass. Lions - it's a home game and whoever starts at left tackle will have to deal with Ziggy Ansah on the edge. Stafford will also be throwing all over the field to Golden Tate and Marvin Jones - both of them might have career games. Bears - Trubisky will be more experienced and they still an improving defense I can remember exactly how I felt about last years schedule too. Carolina will be a loss, No way we can put up points on Denvers Defense, That'll be a loss, Atlanta will probably be towards the top of the NFC again, we will lose there Tampa Bay - Winston will be more experienced, and Mike evans will light us up. Oakland - Healthy Derek Carr, Oakland is the only hope to beat the patriots in the AFC. New Orleans Drew Brees will light us up, probably put up 500+ passing yards Kansas City, they always have our number, probably some fluky weird thing will happen at the end, and we will lose, New England will be 2 losses as always. Indianapolis, No way Andrew Luck loses in buffalo again. Bills will probably be 4-12 in 2017, only beating Miami and the Jets. Analyzing the schedule in February is silly...... 1 1

We're also playing the NFC North next season, that includes games AT Minneapolis and AT Green Bay (2 guaranteed losses) and home games against improved Lions and Bears teams. We're also playing the AFC South, with 3 potential losses against Houston, Tennessee and Jacksonville. DOOMED!!!

Even then, do you want this team, with all of its holes, to give up 2 firsts this year and possibly a 1st and 2nd in 2019 for Rosen? yes 1

BigBuff423 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Just now, Buffalo Bills Detective said: You enjoy losing seasons, do you? C'mon dude....you understand the point....the point is, IF the Bills were to be so committed as to give up all of the assets necessary to get to #2 or #3 or whatever to Draft Rosen, the point is that at least the Bills will have probably solved the QB puzzle they've been stuck on since Jim Kelly. That's a loooooong fricken time to not have a true QB identified to lead the franchise. So, yes, I think most of us are willing to accept a step backward for one year if it comes to that, so that we can build a long-term winner. Will it suck? Yes.....but what's worse is being stuck in the quagmire of mediocrity for 20 years while seeing no appreciable movement toward a championship. And, that's not to guarantee they will lose or at least make a push for the playoffs....it's just that IF that were to happen with a QB like Rosen, most of us accept it as a necessary evil to achieve the greater good. Got it? Drama and tantrum over? Hope so..... Go Bills!

I get not wanting to get your hopes up... but why bother being a fan - let alone come to a message board? Unless you are one of these folks who just sticks around to watch it burn this is some pretty shoddy detective work. Maybe turn that card in at the door. You can however keep your bills fan card - provided you turn that frown upsidedown and provide a few more 'upbeat' takes. DEAL?

wppete Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I can see us trading up with NYG with the connection of Bean and Getleman. Package our 2 first round picks, 1 second round pick and Cordy Glenn.

You're probably right on the compensation, and may require more, but I sure wish we wouldn't have to give up any 2nd (or 3rd) round picks in addition to our two #1s.
aristocrat Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 If Glenn is healthy he is a top ten tackle. Very valuable 1
