Royale with Cheese Posted February 27, 2018 Author Posted February 27, 2018 I believe Marcvus Patton's mom played in a Woman's League Football? She forced Marcvus to play as well.
oldmanfan Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Mark Kelso and his helmet. Ernie Warlick and the biggest hands I've ever seen.
RussellDopeland Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Walter Broughton- a WR and kick returner in the mid-80's. I remember a preseason game where he dropped two long passes that should have been touchdowns. After that, whenever my cousins and I played pickup football, and someone dropped the ball, we immediately taunted them with a "Walter Broughton" chant.
DCBongo Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Schloppy, the kicker during a strike game for kicking the winning FG against the Giants.

Royale with Cheese Posted February 27, 2018 Author Posted February 27, 2018 Vince Young/Matt Leinart because in one season, we had both QB's who played in one of the greatest National Championship games ever and who were both top NFL prospects. Both flamed out.
NewEra Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Joel Klopfenstein. He needs no introduction. 1
KD in CA Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Tim Tindale's 4 catches for 100+ yards against the Jets. He had one other reception in his career.

Fumbled and I believe the 49ers returned it to the house. Changed the momentum of the game. I was sitting in the end zone seats when that play happened.

On TV, they showed the replay without any commentary just so the audience can hear the sound of the impact. Yes...it was hell of an impact.
Bad Things Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Shane Conlan with the thickest neck I've ever seen. He was a great player, but I'll always first think of his neck, whenever his name is mentioned.

Yes and he went to Benedictine college just down the road from me. Tiny school. Shows you that some scouts dig deep. Also Carl Byrum, FB and he crossed the picket line during '87 strike as did Lawrence Taylor for the Giants. Bills and Giants played a 6-3 OT thriller I believe with strike teams and Taylor when interviewed after the game complimented Byrum as "a guy who can play in the league". Taylor apparently didn't know Carl was a real Bill.
