707BillsFan Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Ivory will be 30 in March. He was basically a bust in Jax (800yds in two seasons). I don't see him getting any more than a one year offer. I think he'd be a good add, but not more than $2 mill. He could easily do Tolbert's job, but do it a LOT better. Tolbert was paid $1 mill though. Could a rookie be cheaper? Sure, but that's always hit and miss.
aristocrat Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 i know people keep saying a change of pace compared to shady but i'd rather have a guy similar to shady come in and run the same way.
Pete Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I much prefer Dion Lewis to Chris Ivory. Ivory has ran hard his whole career. Age and attrition are factors. Dion is younger and more versatile. In the new NFL you need pass catching RBs

Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 He's going to get paid way to much to be second fiddle to Shady in our system. Unless we plan on a near even split in touches between the two I can't see it making sense. I'd kick the tires on seeing if we could get Gills back since apparently Belicheck doesn't have a use for him.
BuffaloBillsGospel Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I think we need fresh , young legs behind Mccoy, we already pay a premium at the position, so a late rounder and undrafted rookie FA make sense, RB you can find all over.
starrymessenger Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 This guy's a great back IMO. Reunite him with Shady and draft the big Bama back in the 5th round = best ground game ever. 1

RyanC883 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I'd like to see Cadet back, along with Lewis (great backup for Shady as skillset is the same), and a RB taken later in the draft. (Miami RB could be a good steal). 9 minutes ago, starrymessenger said: This guy's a great back IMO. He might not be a starter at this point but he’s a great 1-2 lunch with Shady. “Lunch with Shady”. Bet it rains dollar bills.... good with any of these or 3rd or fourth rounder on the next Karlos Williams style back, preferably without weed and feed issues Edited February 27, 2018 by Over 29 years of fanhood 2

He gets nicked up a lot and he played in a crowded backfield last year. He's not an every down back but if you can spell him the way Karlos was handled I think you could get the same or a similar return. Given the need I would be ok burning a fifth. Actually I doubt very much that Dion is ever going to suit up as a Bill in 2018, I just really like the player a lot. More realistically there are lots of very good RBs in this draft and you can probably land one in the third or maybe even later. 1
Gugny Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 He could replace McCoy ... not back him up. Lewis and Cadet ... I'd be down with that.
corta765 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 IF he and Gronk are gone that Patriots offense will lose some real explosion next year even with Edelman back. Gronk is virtually uncover-able at points, but Lewis could be worse due to his versatility.
bigbuffs Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I worry about Ivory’s health. Seems like he has been injured a lot the last few years. Really good back when he plays but age is getting up there and hurt too often.
