Many teams have starters that are worse than Wright. It wouldn't be the end of the world. And over the course of their career Davis is much healthier than Gaines so hopefully who ever our backup is doesn't see the field as much as Wright did last year

I feel like I've seen this from several people around here. There was another poster referring to McBeane as "he" and I realized some people might think that's our GM's actual name. Expand They have, at most, 4 potential compensatory free agents that they'll lose: Gaines, Matthews, P. Brown, and then maybe one of Deonte or Henderson. It's unlikely that they'll sign fewer than 4 CFAs with all of this team's needs, but finding a guy like Davis is a good start. I'd like another non-compensator guy like Joe Hawley to fill a key need and put them in the running for comp picks, but I'm far more interested in assembling talent 1
