Before Wood was forced to retire by his neck injury, there was zero mention of the Bills drafting Price.   I don't think Price would be a bad pick, but with Ryan Groy ready to step in to a starting role at center (the Bills are paying him like a starter) it is hardly the position of greatest need for the Bills.  I think that it is this mistaken perception of desperate need that is driving most of the national hype surrounding Price to Buffalo.  I just want to shake these guys and tell them, "The Bills just are not that desperate at center."  What about a really good WR, or a MLB with the athleticism to really make the McDermott defense click.  It wouldn't even be a terrible idea to double up on defensive tackles in the first round (not to even mention QB).  If I were GM, (be glad that's not the case) I would be more inclined to look for a backup interior offensive lineman with upside a little later in the draft.

I also thought it was a little odd that Reuter referred to both Kyle Williams and Harrison Phillips as nose tackles.  I see both of them as one gap 3 tech guys who are decent at stopping the run with a good nose tackle next to them, but who's real strength is creating disruption in the backfield with initial quickness and superior hand fighting technique.  Am I wrong?

Kyle Williams best fit is definitely as a penetrating 3 tech

but

he has played the nose for us in his career... quite effectively too... but he was more of a 1 gap penetrating NT, not a 2 gap space eater

Everyone mocking a C to us can be immediately discounted as knowing anything about the team. These guys just look at a spreadsheet of pluses and minuses and replace minuses with rookies without looking at the backups.

Those guys are going to be great NFL players, we would be lucky to have them.

Who is the QB #14 in your pic?

Mike White. I always pick my favorite QB prospect for the Bills and make it my profile pic during draft season. Last year I had Watson.

I thought so.  I like him too.  He would allow us to keep our 2 first rounders, but I wonder if he'll be there in round 2 when the Bills pick.

i'd rather have vita vea but phillipps and jewel would maybe work, especially with 2-3rd rd. picks....after rudolph and vea at 21/22 i would consider that a haul.

Rudolph & Vea would also be my first picks. Groy is more than capable of stepping right in for Wood.

it would be great if we pry foles away, but if we signed mc carron, i'd take vea at 21 then trade down for a 2nd and 3rd, then hopefully grab rudolph or white and harrison phillips, then maybe trade back up and get billy price.
