PromoTheRobot Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 (edited) Just saw Manziel's tweet complianing about everyone "shouting his failures while whispering his accomplishments." That tells me he feels like a victim. It's not the attitude of someone looking to prove himself. He's learned nothing. 26CornerBlitz Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I said in his draft year he belongs in the CFL and I still believe that's where he can enjoy a measure of success.

Josh Gordon will get a 2nd chance because he put up an amazing 1646 yds in 2013 with Campbell and Weedon throwing at him then got suspended, and you know, if leave a slot for a WR you can carry 5 or 6 other WR on your roster as a backup plan, they play special teams and stuff. Addiction is a horrible disease. It is insidious, and some addicts in recovery have characterized it as "one mistake and down you go". But more to the point, JFF has yet to show anyone he can play football at a CFL, let alone an NFL, level. IMO if he had chosen to go CFL and played well a season or two, he would get a shot. But a couple of weeks in a spring league? Not enough to be worth a roster spot at a space where most teams carry 2, sometimes 3. We've wasted roster spots on this list of QB's for TC and the offseason. Matt Flynn Jordan Palmer (great footwork) Thad Lewis EJM Matt Leinhart Greg McElroy Vince Young Joe Johnson Tavaris Jackson Jeff Tuel Suffice it to say, I disagree.
Foxx Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 i saw the thread title and thought, ' JF? who the !@#$ is JF? Joe Ferguson? nah ...' so i had to open it to see who it was. the Tyson .gif is most apropos.

So let me see if I understand....your argument is that in the past, we've made dubious talent decisions, wasted roster spots, and had poor results. Therefore we should bring in JFF because in the past we've made dubious talent decisions, wasted roster spots, and had poor results. Several of the players on that list were not anything near the same level of questionable in talent, character, or potential, but I don't want to get drawn into debate there.
Rob's House Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 He's got the talent, but I'm not so sure he's got the mentality. I'd want to see a longer period of sustained maturity before giving him an opportunity. 1

No. My argument is that, in the past, we've brought in all manners of QB's trying to find the "guy" and none of them negatively affected us in TC.
#34fan Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I believe Manziel can still play in the NFL... But there are players. I think, more deserving of a second chance. (*sigh*) Karlos Williams! -WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Maybe for a college team running the right system

This person would be none other than Johnny " Football " Manzel ?? Josh Gordon got a second chance ! Also Richie Incognito was given a second chance with the Bills & has been a great add although that was given by the previous regime & as i said in the beginning i don't think that Mc Bean & company would ever consider him with all the crap he pulled but i was wondering just what the Bills fans might think ?? I'm not real sure if he would have to have a certain amount of games that he would be suspended or not for what he had done or if Goodell would even allow this to go through or not but its just a passing thought given it's the off season & the Bills need a QB ... If this has been talked about i apologize i didn't research it ... So what say you ?? Is he worth it or is his NFL career over ?? I care less about his character flaws than his inability to play QB. So, no, no JF.

BuffaloBillyG Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Yes. Lets bring in JF, plus Tim Tebow, Do what it takes to get EJ, Geno, Matt Barkley and Ryan Nassib in here. I don't care about the cost. Elimination Chamber is tomorrow. Connect the dots...

Exactly where he has found much of the trouble that is indicative of his serious charcter concerns. He's a nobody that Beane and McDermott have zero interest in.
Niagara Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 (edited) Initially, Jim Kelly did not want to come here, skipped on debts and had a bar room incident. Then he found Jesus, and became a HOF QB. Maybe we will find another HOF QB and maybe we will just have to suffer another twenty years. Good Luck. BTW, you did not read the link. CK may be Denver's best option at QB going forward. Edited February 24, 2018 by Niagara
