The NFL seems open to adapting the game to college level QB play.

Nick Foles just won the SB operating a college RPO offense...........so it's getting done.

The big problem right now is that the guys like Manning, Brady and Brees have been able to play for so long....because you can't hit them.....that they get so wise that it takes forever for the young crop of pocket passers to catch up with them.

Example:  Matt Stafford who enters his 10th season starting games in the NFL with a losing record despite his great talent.   9 years used to be a ton of experience.........but it's only half as much as guys like Brady and Brees.   It's a huge advantage.

Who the hell wants to wait that long?    Play a system that allows the QB to be good early........and that's what Chip Kelly did with Foles and Houston did with Watson last year etc..

...unless they establish their own developmental/minor league like all of the other professional sports, you take what you're given....hard to convince me it isn't about the expense....NHL/AHL etc., MLB/IL/PCL, NBA/development league as well as lower level networks all seem to do well....don;t see any of those major sports owners in soup kitchen lines broke...but the NFL is the NFL, haughty greedmeisters.....an NFL minor league structure similar to the others with callups and demotions ; I'd bet it makes guys hungrier and fighting harder to keep their upper league jobs....so as you said, you deal with the players that you're dealt with......
