Conservatives always criticize their own more than Liberals

Zero conservatives on this board have criticized Arthur Jones.

Every conservative on this board has criticized Obama, Clinton, CNN, etc.

You can get 600 signatures for just about anything by standing out in front of a super market for an afternoon and putting you best foot forward.  "Hi, my name is Arthur Jones, and I'm a Republican running for Congress.  Would you mind signing this to advance my candidacy?  Thank you."

Again, why can't you just be honest?

You have to ask that of a liberal lemming?

You're the only one who's brought him up.

And again, if you weren't too lazy to, you'd be able to find the grayed out names on old posts of users who came here, espoused white supremacist nonsense, were promptly mocked mercilessly and eventually banned (once Darin woke up from a nap).

I do think you're correct. But, why do you think that is?

I mean, look at Sanders and how the DNC literally cheated him. What did he do? He capitulated to them. And, the tabloid media more than did its part in ignoring what happened (even being a large part of the cheating). It is a huge moment in political history. That said, I do think liberals criticize things of that nature. I just think the vocal ones, who we are forced to hear all the time, don't. The stereotypical TV liberals.

I'd be interested to hear your suggestions.

No matter what anyone wants to think, there's no simple one off solution to the whole thing.  At the very least, while this guy is still alive, they need to learn as much from him as they possibly can.  They need to figure out how to better identify warning signs for this stuff and then react to them sooner.  I can't offer something concrete here since I don't know enough about it.  All I know is that we shouldn't look the other way simply because "it doesn't happen often".

Arthur Jones isn't a conservative.  He's a white nationalist.  Ideologically he's a socialist who happens to be a racist.  He doesn't reflect conservative, libertarian, or Republican values; isn't being run or financed by the Republican Party, and doesn't have their support.

Why should conservatives welcome him into our tent in order to own him so we can criticize him?  Hell, he describes himself as a Lincolnite which I thought made him a Democrat?

That can be very simply explained away by one question: Who the !@#$ is Arthur Jones?

Arthur Jones founded Nautilus, another plays for the Dallas Cowboys.

Maybe they should provide a list of the 6 white supremacists so they can be blanket-condemned at once.

oh don't bother, they are condemned without the list 24/7

The President was talking to a shock jock in his prior career, engaging in locker room talk.  Is it a desirable?  Not to me personally, I find it to distasteful; but let's not pretend that it wasn't standard talk that lots of men engage in.  Your faux moral preening over it, equating it with sexual assault is, once again, a lie made by a low morals liberal in order to advance their agenda.  Why can't you be honest?

As for the "cover up of a wife beater", can you explain the cover up portion?  Do you mean "hire someone who hit their wife"?  Do you know if this person suffered prior fallout of any kind for their actions?  And again, can you please provide me with a list of actions which an individual can take which should prevent them from working ever again?

So Trump says he goes into pageant locker rooms while they're changing and there are multiple contestants who have corroborated this. He's also said he's grabbed women by the kitty and starts kissing women without their consent. He's had 11 women come out and say he's kissed or touched them inappropriately.

Quote

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network defines sexual assault as "unwanted sexual contact that stops short of rape or attempted rape. This includes sexual touching and fondling."

Locker room talk, you honestly believe that? And the left is the side that will believe anything they're told?

When reached for comment, Porter told DailyMail.com: 'I will not comment about these matters, beyond stating that many of these allegations are slanderous and simply false.'

John Kelly, Chief of Staff, commented:  'Rob Porter is a man of true integrity and honor, and I can't say enough good things about him. He is a friend, a confidante and a trusted professional. I am proud to serve alongside him.'

http://www.cnn.com/2018/02/13/politics/christopher-wray-white-house-rob-porter/index.html

Quote

FBI Director Chris Wray upended the White House's timeline about when it learned of domestic abuse allegations leveled against disgraced aide Rob Porter.

Wray testified Tuesday that the FBI repeatedly briefed the White House on its investigation into the aide last year, despite how the White House has presented their timeline.

So the party of morality describes a wife abuser as "a man of true integrity and honor." Real classy stuff there.

If you're going to side with the right on their policies, fine, I can respect that. Don't talk about how the right is all moral and superior than the left, that's just a load of ****.

Stay on topic, which was conservatives criticizing GOP and that happens a lot here.

Why are you surprised that conservatives criticize liberals & DEMs?  Again, please show me where the self-professed liberals have criticized the DEMs.  I've been on this site since 1998, and guess what, it doesn't happen.

Your posting history also proves it.  You expect conservatives to be the exact lemmings to the dogma as has been indoctrinated into the left.  But sorry, not happening, because we can think for ourselves and form our own opinion after examining the facts.

Conservatives and liberals don't play in the same exact reference zones, so comparison is tough if you want it to be perfect.

They are close enough to make it a worthwhile attempt to compare though.

My new digital copy of The New Republic arrived, been a subscriber since around 1978, at the very least it had the best "back half" of a magazine for decades. When I show a copy to lib colleagues they think it's a far-left rag... even for Canadians...  :D
