YoloinOhio Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) “I would anticipate people maybe questioning some of his character, but I would tell you his character’s what drew us to him,” Lynch said after the 49ers selected Foster in the first round on April 27. “ ✍️ Edited February 12, 2018 by YoloinOhio 1
thebandit27 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Wow Guess the 30 teams that passed on him might've known something 3
aristocrat Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Guy was a stud for sf. Hopefully he gets his life together.
26CornerBlitz Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 This ruins the high of signing Jimmy G for the 49ers. Two offseason arrests for Foster.
Doc Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 His main issue was his shoulder IIRC. Didn't hear about character issues.

I liked Tre White a lot but thought that it was Foster for sure. I would have loved the pick too. Edited February 12, 2018 by Kirby Jackson 1
Steptide Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I will never understand these kind of things. I guess I'm just from a different walk of life, but I will never understand how people completely blow their careers over this kind of thing 1
BillsFan4 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 It's a shame. He's sooo talented on the football field. I hope he gets his life together off the football field. Im guessing the 49ers will offer him whatever help he desires. Hope this was the wake up call he needed.
Solomon Grundy Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 This is what frightens me about drafting U of A players. Has there been one since Landon Collins who hasn't been in trouble with the law? 2
YoloinOhio Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 At least they filled the void (on the police blotter) from Aldon Smith
Lfod Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) That is to bad really. You really don't want to be 10 years down the road thinking about the life you could of had if you didn't get messed up over a woman and allegedly owning automatic rifles. Your in a position to have a better life then a lot of people and bank a lot of money. You don't need to get stupid over one woman. Stay calm and just go get some strange my dude. If I was talented enough to make that kind of bank I think I'd quit smoking pot. If I had a woman problem I'd just move on to all the tram that threw itself at me. Being in that position has to leave a dude with options. Edited February 12, 2018 by Lfod 1
HappyDays Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I remember in the draft thread a bunch of people said we were stupid to take Tre'Davious White over Reuben Foster 1

He would have been perfect for this D on talent alone and a great value at 27 if you just consider that. But, the red flags were too obvious to use a 1st rd pick. He had a shoulder injury too, and we were fresh off the Shaq Shoulder debacle.
