bkep32 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Per profootball talk, chief GM to maybe clean house on aging high expensive player. Justin Houston 29, could be up for trade. Would this be a guy we would be intersted in? He had a couple injuries past few seasons to limit production. Maybe one of our 2nds, if chiefs are really wanted to get younger and cheaper on the def side of the ball. Would nice to have him causing havoc on the outside instead of alexander.
BuffaloBaumer Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 No trades for at least a year when it involves draft picks 2
TheBeaneBandit Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I believe he's always been a 3 4 guy.....
bkep32 Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 fair enough to all, was just kinda putting it out there, thought it was an interesting look. 1
3rdand12 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I read the same article purging the old guys and the High dollars. I do not feel Bills are interested in either ? 1

Cruiserplayer Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 He could very well be gone. Chiefs save 8 mill against cap this year by trading or cutting him. I’d say he will he definitely be gone as of next year unless he has a monster year (14 mill in savings).
Woodman19 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 How about we try to develop our own star players and keep them in their prime instead of always wanting to trade for ones who are past theirs?
BADOLBILZ Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Love to have him but $15M base salary makes him of no trade value, IMO. 1
Misterbluesky Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 No thanks,we will fill in defensive holes with our picks and some average salary fa's.15 mill..???

aceman_16 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Pass.... we need to get younger and cheaper for us to be set in a good model moving foward.
hemma Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I wish we'd got him back in 2011 at pick 68 instead of Kelvin Sheppard. But now, I'd pass. 2
BillsFan4 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I'd love to have him (assuming !cD felt he was a scheme fit), but the Bills are just not in a position to take on his cap hit. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/justin-houston-7789/ Im not sure if it'd be less if her were traded (im assuming it probably would), but right now he's set to count $20 million against the cap in 2018.

ChopBlockKCKS Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Yeah, maybe the Bills can get Ragland back to if they threw in some more picks. Houston was a monster before his injury, not so much now.

Augie Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I’d prefer young and cheap to old and expensive. The Bills need to get younger. Leave it to others who feel they might be one player away from a ring. We have to build a core, IMO.
