Bad Things Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Up until this year, New Zealand has only won a single medal at the Winter Olympics. (A silver in 1992 for the women's slalom.) Today we won 2 medals! Woo hoo! 1

Well deserved win.

I only started watching live about 5 min. into 3rd and agree with both assessments...USA really dominated in OT and I was afraid a fluke Canadian goal would spoil that effort. Really poor sportsmanship for the one Canadian to immediately take her medal off...I mean, we get it, you're disappointed, but c'mon...

She is getting killed on Twitter..in typical Canadian fashion most bashes from Canadians are something to the effect,, "Cmom your Canadian, you're better than that, that is something the Americans would do" although they have not done that 4 medal ceremonies previously.
SoTier Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 The US Curling team skipped by John Schuster just beat the Canadians in the curling semi-finals, advancing to the gold medal round for the first time ever with a 5-3 win. The US is guaranteed at least a silver for the first time ever. The US plays Sweden on Saturday for the gold. Here's the story: US Curling Semi Finals

Boy, were they close on that chance in the last minute. Canadian girl had her arms halfway raised. That would have been crushing after all the OT chances the US had.
RaoulDuke79 Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Lots of upsets in speed skating tonight. Hats off to Hungary on their first winter Olympics medal....and a gold to boot.
