YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 He was the guy Rex fired because Dareus didn’t like him. Even though he had been with Rex since the Jets days. Went to be the DL coach for Bama and now headed to Steelers... 1

Marv's Neighbor Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Good to see it's working out for him. He was likely right about Dareus.

DrDawkinstein Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Went from being a "Rex Ryan guy" to working for two of the best programs in football (Bama, Steelers). I'd say Dareus did him a favor.
YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 The story is that Dareus didn’t like Dunbar but he was Rex’s Guy. Rex fired Dunbar at a weird time (it was like March or April) and hired that guy who Dareus knew from back when he was gettImg recruited and used to coach at UNC and Oklahoma - John Blake. He hadn’t coached in like 6 years prior to that after getting fired for taking money from agents to funnel players to them.
BuffaloRush Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Ok dumb question but what happened to the skin on his face. Is it a birth defect or was that from an accident. I always have wondered what happened to him

With so many former Bills HC's being current or recent HC's(Lynn, Marrone, Mularkey) and so much turnover in the Bills recent past there are tons former Bills coaches bouncing around pro and college jobs.....you could almost post an update the job status on one of them every day. Not exactly a list of brilliance but not like in the Levy days where 90% of Marv's hires were otherwise unemployable. 1
hemma Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 He was probably really mean and raised his voice and said mean things.

Dareus is a HOF level talent who is highly immature. If he had the right mindset he could consistently play at the high level he that sometimes flashes. It should be noted that our run defense took a dive when he left while Jacksonville's improved dramatically. The name calling is just beating a dead horse. We turned him loose and I hope he gets it together. There's no need to trash him like this, he's gone.

He should have been gone after the SB26z. Instead Marv waited 3 more full seasons to pull the plug. Wade care in and took the defense to #1
atlbillsfan1975 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 One place all the staff turnover is affecting is recruiting. I’m not ready to write off Bama.
