Oh!! Nothing to worry about then, eh Comrade?

They are after our voting system and you want to quibble about how its not a problem because it was only the database? I agree with Nance, this could lead to Civil War or civil unrest. Just what the Russians want

It is of some concern.  There's just no need to be a mindless panic-whore about it.

Odd that the Russian hacking narrative is being reintroduced now that the intel rollout is underway.

Oh, wait.  No it isn't.

This is all you need to know - This FBI corruption story is getting more press.

An undercover agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation who played a central role in an investigation of alleged corruption in men’s college basketball has been accused of misappropriating government money on gambling, food and beverages during the probe, people familiar with the matter said.

The integrity of our elections are of "some concern." Must be you are ok with the results so you don't care.

Way to throw your hero Obama under the bus since all of this is old news that happened under HIS watch

Yes, because, you know, we only have elections one time and never again. 2018? Oh, that's not the same.

Trump isn't even admitting this happened.

Gerrymandering isn't voter fraud.  It's not even similar to voter fraud.

Gerrymandering was the tool of the Dems when they held the House from the 1940s until Clinton's spanking in 1994.

It was whined about as unfair but that's how she !@#$ing goes, boys.

and the House during that era had less change in Reps than the Politburo.

The redistricting efforts after the 2010 census cuts both ways.  In Illinois new districts were drawn very much in favor of Dems and a suit within the state challenging the new boundaries was thrown out by a judge who of course is a Democrat.  The case wasn't heard and efforts to get the issue on a state ballot were squashed by other dem judges.  Redistricting laws vary from state to state and are generally vague.  Republican governors in sometimes blue states would probably argue that their redistricting efforts were done to correct what the other party changed the last go-around.  Both parties do it and the party in power put there by voters gets to make these decisions.  It's a consequence of elections.

Yes,  I am well aware that it does. But recently it has been more prevalent with the R's than D's.   (most recently that is changing in an attempt to reblalance the lines)

I've also seen politicians switch sides to win an election if they lost a close primary.  Party loyalty is a joke. They do and say what they think the base wants to hear. and don''t hesitate to jump across the isle when it benefits them.

If you can't beat them join them.   Fight fire with fire.   Both sides do it, and back and forth it goes.

Gerrymandering is not a criminal enterprise.

Even in the case you listed where they found gerrymandering illegal, they made no mention of how the districting ran afoul of the law.  That's not a legal issue.  That's 5 Democrats on a panel of 7 individuals making a political decision for the benefit of their preferred party.

The Special Prosecutor is about Russian interference, not Gerrymandering. You sound like an East German bot spouting communist propaganda against the evil capitalist-imperialist media

You said yourself you are happy the Russians are helping Republicans win. You are just saying what the rest think

I would like to know what was done and how it was done before I get too excited by this.

I was an election officer for years, so I'm a bit interested in this.

The link does not provide that information for security reasons, but I'm sure the info will get out.

Uh oh. An FBI informant spills his guts about Clintons laundering Russian money for the Uranium One deal.

Quote

An FBI informant connected to the Uranium One controversy told three congressional committees in a written statement that Moscow routed millions of dollars to America with the expectation it would be used to benefit Bill Clinton's charitable efforts while Secretary of State Hillary Clinton quarterbacked a “reset” in U.S.-Russian relations.

The informant, Douglas Campbell, said in the statement obtained by The Hill that he was told by Russian nuclear executives that Moscow had hired the American lobbying firm APCO Worldwide specifically because it was in position to influence the Obama administration, and more specifically Hillary Clinton.

Something tells me Douglas Campbell better stay away from parks. It'd be a shame if we saw another Clinton-related 'suicide' caused by someone shooting themselves multiple times in the back of the head.

There is one person in jail right now for releasing info on this, so don't hold your breath.

I get it though. We can't let the Russians know what we know or they can adjust. Just have to hope that the people trying to stop this have the best intentions and do their best.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/372879-george-w-bush-russia-meddled-in-election

Former President George W. Bush on Thursday said that there is “clear evidence” of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Bush made the comments while speaking at a summit in Abu Dhabi, according to The Associated Press, at a time when tensions are rising between President Trump and U.S. intelligence agencies over the investigation into Russian meddling.

“There’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled,” Bush said, the news service reported.

“Whether they affected the outcome is another question.”

Not according to the Trumpbots! It's not a question at all

And so much for trying to be nice to Putin as our compromised President wants to be. Like the hush money to the porn star, Putin is being paid in a different way

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Wednesday that Russia is already attempting to interfere in the 2018 midterm elections....

The Trump administration earlier this month declined to impose new sanctions on Russia over the meddling, saying that the threat of increased sanctions is already “serving as a deterrent” to the Kremlin.
